Very interesting to look around and read the descriptions of the displays. You are able to look around all of the old "public" area, as well as quite a bit of the back "private" part of the chuch also.

“Very very old Cathedral”

It won't take long to view the cathedral, but was interesting. Also a convenient location to take the double decker tour bus that is located in front of Old Cathedral.

Beautiful interior. We were able to go down to the catacombs. Old original Inca stones in catacombs. Worth the visit.

“An excellent 16th century building”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Right on the main square this very old church has now been restored and made into a museum and sometimes a performance venue. The archetucture and art are definately worth seeing as well as the catacombs, if you can get in.

“Great history! Get a knowleagable local!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

We went with our Spanish Teacher who knew quite a bit about the history of the old cathedral. It was quite fun to hear the stories of the restoration and which families were represented by each chapel.

I especially loved the statues of the 12 apostles with Jesus....I have never seen anything like that.
