Great American style breakfast. Had eggs, potatoes, and biscuits and gravy. Service a little slow so don't be in a hurry.

Inconsistent food prep, poor quality and untrained servers.
One time I had an outstanding coffee americana prepared at the espresso-like machine. The next coffee americana was stale coffee out of an ordinary coffee maker. Then one time we had outstanding Key Lime Pie. The next two times there, no Key Lime Pie so I ordered an Ensalada of fruit and yogurt....awful! The yogurt was warm room temperature and runny, the mixed fruit was warm and stale.
As long as the American owner is present at the cafe, there’s a better chance for a good meal. On weekends when the Ecuadorians are staffing front/back house, the food is inferior and service is ‘deer in the headlights’, all of a sudden it’s ‘no comprendo english’ reply the servers.
Then there’s a long line at the register as if no one understands how to accept money and their reason to be there is lost on them.
In most cases, over the years we’ve lived in Cuenca, whenever there’s an Ecuadorian in any restaurant kitchen or otherwise position without ordinary common sense or average intelligence, a business will fail to retain ‘customer loyalty’, a concept this country is oblivious to in all areas in the tourist travel, hospitality industry.

huevos rancheros were a big disappointment this morning. Eggs were hard and cold . And they decided to put mayo on instead of sour cream. Both white . Is there a different chef? Too bad.

Good service and food. Excellent sour dough bread. We have tried to visit two more times but they were closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

Great Location and excellent burgers, which was a great and pleasant surprise. Modestly priced for what you get. Really good service. Loved sitting out side with the park right there.
