This small restaurant offers up big flavors from Argentina. The laid back ambience makes this restaurant perfect for sipping on a delicious Malbec chatting with friends. The menu offers a variety of Argenitine dishes from delectable grilled meats to Argentina's famous fusion pasta dishes with a reminiscence of Italy and big South American flavors. Desserts are for sharing.

Service was mediocre. Food was just OK. They bring everything out in a large cauldron, smothered in the same spices. We had a combination beef, pork and langostino's. Not sure I'd recommend it to anyone.

I was prepared to be impressed, based on the reviews. For Cuenca it's a bit on the expensive side... we got there as it opened and since the tables were so small, asked if we could have a larger one. We were politely told no, only if we had 4 people. So we ordered a specialty of the house..a mustard sauce on top of steak, potatoes and salad. Terrible!! The sauce was everywhere and a pretty heavy dijon mustard taste. One could not get away from it!! I kept thinking that for the money we could have/ should have gone to Tiestos!! certainly will do so next time. Service was bad, food was bad and price was high!! Won't go back!

Expensive by Cuenca standards, but a steal by US standards and portions are enormous. Almost everything is served for at least 2 people, but it's a great mix of options from Italian risotto or solidly South American "disco" dishes. If you want something that's fancy and a bit different from the other cuencano fare, give La Esquina shot.

Stay at home and have good Argentinian food. Pricey by local Ecuadorian Restaurant standards, but considering quanity and quality it is a good deal
