I went there with a couple of friends to try the famous cuy. Because everyone says that this is the place for it we just went.
The lady that serve pur table was terrible! She really didn't want to work ,was very reluctant to any kind of explanation...luckily for us after the first 2 visit at our table the manager took over.
To have your cuy you have to wait 1 hour (many locals book it ahead) we just thought to share some starters that were not amazing honestly.
The the cuy came. It was very tasty, fatter than what i thought (but that is what i was expecting vs reality) and heavy seasoned. But this is how they it here.
So a suggestion for foreigner eating here: or try it in the morning or ask for a canelazo (a alcoholic very digestive drink) after... or even the 2 combined.

The place is very autentic and full of locals mainly.
The cuy was delicious, very crispy outside and tender inside, even when it isnt for everyday or everyone ...
The side-dishes nothing special and a bit to rustical, grease and heavy but the cuy self was enouth for us with cold beers 8))

If you're adventurous and willing to try local exotic dishes then this is for you. Guinea pig 'Cuy' is a local dish. Can be prepared many ways. This is the place to try it. It's slow roasted. Takes an hour so it's good to call ahead and reserve. It's seasoned nicely. The restaurant is cozy with nice artifacts on the wall. Service was great.

Awesome place to try the local fare. If you are brave, you can try the 'cuy', guinea pig that you can see being cooked on the open spits behind the restaurant next to the parking lot. The tipico plato is my favorite with deliciously moist pork, potato cakes and so on. Everyone always enjoys the large portions and great service.

This place charges 21$ (+3$ service fee) for cuy (guinea pig) and need a preparation time of 1 hour. The cuy was okay but the “local” side dish (a dish of potatoes and white corn) was quite disappointing and definitely not worth the money. The only positive thing about this restaurant was the decoration and atmosphere. If you want a Cuy experience I recommend trying it at a street corner or some other place.
