I recently stayed at Casa Ordonez in Cuenca (early March 2018) for a few days. This was a perfect place for me, only 2 blocks from the main plaza, restaurants and shopping. The service was amazing on all ends - staff very helpful and polite and offered valuable suggestions for places to eat and to go see. The place is an old mansion, with updated bathrooms and beautiful woodwork throughout. Fresh flowers were in the room as well as the common areas. Breakfast was fabulous! The reading "nook" on the 2nd floor is bright and sunny and inviting. There is a TV in this common room (which I did not use), and plenty of books to read.

My wife and I booked 4 days at Casa Ordonez this past January and ended up staying 8.

We were warmly welcomed and impressed with the friendly service provided by Alberto, the owner and his staff.

The breakfasts were delicious, highlighted with fresh juices and fruits.

While staying at the Casa we looked for an apartment to rent and with Alberto’s help secured a beautiful place around the corner. Throughout our 7 week stay in Cuenca we maintained contact with the staff of Casa Ordonez and received help and advice as needed.

It was a real comfort to travelers like us, to have met Alberto and his staff while helping us along through some difficult health issues.

What a perfect landing spot to start our stay in Ecuador.

We look forward to visiting Ecuador and our new friends again soon.

We had a very nice stay at Casa Ordonez. It is an old house that has been kept up and has new bathrooms. The design and wood floors are wonderful. It is centrally located but off the main road. Cuenca is fairly small so it was easy to walk everywhere from there and is only a $2 taxi ride from the airport. The breakfast is included and delicious! The owner of the property was very friendly and accommodating with us leaving early to catch a flight.

My husband and I recently travelled to Cuenca and at one point we considered cancelling our reservation in order to stay with the rest of our family in another nearby hotel. We're very thrilled to have stayed because it felt like 'home away from home'. We highly recommend this cozy, beautiful, quiet and welcoming hotel. The staff and the owner are so accommodating and friendly.

On the recommendation of a friend who has enjoyed Casa Ordonez in the past we decided to stay here for a week. The room was elegant and richly appointed. The owner and staff were amazing and made us feel like family. The breakfast was wonderful each morning. WiFi worked perfectly and laundry was available same day service and very inexpensive as needed. I have stayed in many places in France, Switzerland, Caribbean, Costa Rica, Mexico etc, but have never been treated as well at those locations as we were treated by the proprietor and staff at Casa Ordonez. Cannot wait to come back again next year !!
