“Service at its best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2009

We spent a total of 2 nights at Le Parc. One night before and one after our Galapagos tour. The rooms were exceptional in both decor and comfort - true 5-star luxury. We were most impressed with the service from the staff - nothing was too much trouble. We suffered from high altitude effects on the return journey and a very late checkout was accommodated without any problem. Customer service at its best.

A fantastic hotel with great service. All the rooms are individually designed and we really enjoyed our stay before and after our trip to the Galapagos.
Restaurant serves Japanese food and is deemed to be one in the best in Quito but we really wanted to try South American food and were disappointed this was not on offer. The only vegetarian option was a vegetarian salad in the room service menu. This was really delicious and tastier than its name suggests.
Would highly recommend a stay in this very comfortable hotel.

The rooms are very large with lots of seating area if you want to entertain friends. Lots of windows, some with a view. King size bed, large bathroom, everything ultra-modern. Even fresh flowers in the room. Free wi-fi, free DVDs to play in your room. First room had a soaker bath tub beside the bed so I soaked in the tub while watching a movie. Breakfast was excellent with your choice of eggs and lots of fruit, buns, bread and cereals. Excellent coffee too. Transportation to airport was provided by the hotel.

But what impressed us the most was the service from the staff - nothing was too much trouble and a very late checkout was accommodated without any concern. We normally don't dine in hotel restaurants but the food in Sake was excellent in quality, service and presentation. Even the breakfasts were beautifully presented. If you are prepared to pay a bit extra but demand value, then you should certainly not go past Le Parc.

I decided to take my wife to Le Parc for our 10 year anniversary and was not dissapointed. The Hotel is very nice and the Suite we stayed in was incredible. The best part was the bathtub in the bedroom! The kingsize bed was very comfortable and the details in the room were impressive. I even give kudos to the little soap, conditioner and shampoo provided!

My only beef is with the sushi restaurant that is in the hotel. We ordered 3 rolls and they were only okay. I expected the rolls to be better but they were mushy and not very flavorful. The average "Sake" restaurant is the only reason I would not give the hotel 5 stars. They should learn how to make better sushi rolls.

This hotel was part of our 8-day Galapagos tour package but we endured a lengthened stay at Le Parc before and after the Galapagos tour as part of a 23-day vacation throughout Ecuador. This hotel seems to cater to the Galapagos tour crowd –quick, overnight stays for people excited about or tired from their Galapagos experiences. Staying longer exposes the downsides of this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel – it is easy to be swayed by the chic design, but just below the thin layer of “posh” is frustrating disillusionment.

The rooms are trendy; the beds are comfortable; and the linens luxurious. There is no excuse for a hotel less than two years old to have window that do not address noise from traffic, car alarms, protests related the adjoining Peruvian embassy and, low flying aircraft (this hotel lies directly beneath the flight path for the airport). Walls and ceilings are thin. Renovating the “top floor bar” would have continued all night should we not have complained – imagine the noise when the bar is open.

The sushi at Sake was excellent – meeting all taste and presentation expectations. Room service provided an extended menu; however, it will be delivered on a tray and not a cart. I was left at the door holding the tray wondering where to put it – we used the plastic tables while eating off the end of the bed. Not what one expects at a “boutique hotel”!

Check in/out is completed by helpful English speaking clerks working awkwardly at a minuscule writing desk. All other staff were unfriendly and arrogant - relying on the front desk clerks to translate requests. Even well spoken Spanish was ignored by the doormen rather than respond to questions. For a hotel with only 30 rooms, it is difficult to understand why: our room at 5:00 pm was not ready; it was set-up for one when two individuals were staying; requests were ignored until the third enquiry; light bulbs were burned out; and laundry was significantly delayed.

Meticulous attention is given to design elements, fresh flowers, and glitz – customer service or convenience is not a concern. Larger hotels on the same street provide more options, better value and service.

Special Note: I would like to mention George, the driver, whom was friendly and reliable. His good advice and driving skills made our stay in Quito positive

i highly recommend this hotel for any trip you are planning, if you travel with babies, they offer bloom baby chairs for them, if you are with kids the attention is fabulous, its the perfect hotel for a lonely business traveller or just to go with friends.
the food is delicious, from one of the best restaurants in town (sake-sushi) it offers a balcony with a great view to sip on a champagne glass during sunset and if you are a spa lover dont miss the 4 hands massage.
if you are uncertain about your stay in quito, dont be, you wont regret staying here, plus...the pick up and drop off to and from the airport is free.
