So, you take a tram to 13,000 feet or so, and then you can even walk or crawl a little higher to see more! The 360 degree views are worth every gasp of oxygen. This is the only way to see "all of Quito", stretched out for miles in the valley. Be sure it is a clear day, and you can also see volcanoes in the distance.

We went up in the morning, but by the time we got to the top the clouds rolled in and we could not see a thing. It was very cold.

This ride is a thrilling and the view of the city is awe inspiring! Make sure you go on a clear day, if it is overcast you will not be able to enjoy the view, since the clouds will be below you.
Enjoy a warm coca leaf tea while gazing down on the city literally at your feet!

Check that the visibility is OK before you set off, clouds roll in quickly especially in the afternoon. Prepare for the temperature to be considerably lower as you get higher. Consider arranging for your transport back into town, waiting for a cab can be a hit and miss affair. Great views, good value.
