“Try to stay more than one night!”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

Our family has just spent six nights at this charming small hotel. The hotels only negative would be that it can be a bit noisy. .Our arrival here was extremely late at night as many of the flights arrive very late and early morning so there will always be comings and goings. Street noise is minimal at night but does start up in the mornings. As most guests will be leaving early for planes or tours this was not a problem for us and our room was at the front corner, there are rooms at the side and back. I cannot fault the staff, all were friendly, courteous, helpful and generous with their time making our stay most enjoyable. Our Spanish is minimal but this was not a problem. Our room a double with small spotless bathroom, had also a day bed, chair, side tables, TV, safe and wardrobe. Light filled and roomy enough (9), 2nd floor no lift. We found it very comfortable. Our children, shared no(10) which had two singles and a double bunk, small shower room, two wardrobes, TV, table and night stand. This room backed onto a function centre which for two nights was noisy due to Christmas parties but functions did not go past 1.30 am. Breakfast served in the restaurant was generous, fresh juice (different each day) , fruit, cereal and yoghurt, eggs (as you like) toast, ham and cheese all served with good humour and smiles. We found malls, restaurants, Atm's and a local market all within walking distance. The area is safe and not too far from the airport.

Room Tip: There seemed to be back and side rooms with balconies, these might be quieter?

This hotel could not be more charming- the lobby, restaurant and rooms are all great. The property is extremely clean and tucked away on a quiet side street. We had some less-than-friendly staff help us during our stay- that is the only downside. One man was very nice, but the other individuals working acted like they were doing us a favor by being there. This was too bad, since it's such a nice little place.

Room Tip: We had a two-story room that was extremely spacious- a great choice!

I was fortunate to stay in this delightful hotel 3 times during a recent trip to Ecuador. My arrivals and departures (at crazy early a.m. times) were handled efficiently and quickly. I was only able to sample one of their breakfasts and was very impressed. On my too early for breakfast a.m. departures, coffee and toast were ready for a quick pick me up before my transportation arrived. The coffee was excellent! The rooms I stayed in were comfortable, hot water plentiful, the bed a delight. Highly recommend.

It is not the quietest or easy to lug your luggage to. It is more like a bed and breakfast. The breakfast is typical Ecuadorian standard fare which is more than sufficient to get you going. The rooms are smaller, especially some that have bunk beds, so even if it seems like they have sufficient sleeping spots, it is not a room you can all chill out when it rains outside.
Location is nice. The rooms are clean. The best part is the staff that is friendly and accommodative. They even organized breakfast at 5am in the morning even though their service normally starts at 7:00am. The biggest issue is that the rooms are not accessible via an elevator. So if you have trouble climbing stairs or lug heavy luggage then this can be problematic.

Arrived late, and we were thrilled when shown to our room (#11). It is a duplex in the turret in the front of hotel, siting area below, and up winding perimeter stair to bedroom loft w/nice bed and tv. wonderful accommodation, recommend highly! breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, egg, and strong coffee got the engines started. in the morning!

In Quito for a quick overnight between flights this was a very nice place to stay; especially after spending some 13 hours in airports and planes. We got to the hotel around 9 pm. The staff helped us get our luggage up to our room. The hotel's restaurant had already closed, but the staff prepared some soup and a light supper for us The next morning, they prepared a breakfast to order for us. You will enjoy your stay here.
