Some of the reviewers talk about the room being old...not ours. It was gorgeous with a HUGE modern bathroom including a jacuzzi tub. The staff was great and the breakfast was super. We stayed there because we were renting a car to leave for the countryside the next day and the parking was really easy and abundant. Both my companion and I slept like logs due to the new bed and quiet room. I liked the old town neighborhood better, but it is only a $3-5 cab ride. This was far more than we expected for $90/night.

Room Tip: Our room was very new and was in the "other building". The building seemed like one, but w...

It's hard to pick hotels out of the country that I was not used to such as a Marriott or Hilton but we decided to stay somewhere different and it was a wonderful surprise. Ecuador is a wonderful place to visit and although Quito was not one of my favorite places this hotel was. Extremely modern with all the amenities and safety features. Once you get your key it is the only way to get to your floor on the elevator. In order to save electricity, as soon as you step off the elevator the lights go on in the hallway and as soon as you enter your room you put your key in the pad and the lights stay on. The room came with two queen beds and a bathroom with a badet (hope i am spelling that right) and an oversize jacuzzi tub which had Hot water. In Ecuador as well as other countries hot water is not so easy to come buy and it can take awhile, but this hotel was top notch. I would not recommend eating in the restaurant at all!!!!! Overpriced and not very good.
Our reservations came with breakfast which was okay as we are not big breakfast eaters. The staff was great but they did not tell us about a wonderful area around the corner where you can easily walk and find restaurants, bars and a great nightlife. We just happened to fall into it as we were walking.....of course, our Spanish is not great and therefore we had to depend on the few staff that did speak English. Knowing the language would have been helpful I would recommend looking at the different sites for prices as our stay was around $100.00 a night from hotels.com. So, if you want something a little different then what we are used to as well as the price and the location this is a great place.

Just yards from the entertainment, bars and restaurants of mariscal and a short cab to the old town, so a spot on location. For just over $100 a night the room is superb. Modern, comfortable, lovely bed and linen, whirlpool bath, a real treat. Price to pay for being so central is a bit of noise from the street. Wifi is four star, needs a bit too much re-entering of the passcode but otherwise all good. Wifi and simple breakfast included. Water bottles in the room nice touch also. Recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for one away from the road

We stayed 2 nights in this comfortable hotel. Staff were friendly & helpful. Easy walking to lots of bars & restaurants. We had dinner in the hotel one night, which was well priced & quite tasty. Free WiFi, but slow to access.

We booked 3 different hotels in Quito and this one was definitely the best: well located in the heart of Mariscal, not far from the trolley, restaurants and pubs.
We booked a double room, but got an upgrade for a suite. This made our stay even more perfect.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.

I loved this hotel for a stay in Quito. The rooms were large and the breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly. Very beautiful frames decorated the rooms and hall. Just make sure that if you are looking for a special view this isn't the place for you.

The hotel is in a great location. It is literally three blocks right from the hotel lobby on Avenue Amazonas to Mariscal Foch and then two blocks right on this street to get to Plaza Foch. This is a social hub known as Gringolandia, where you can find chichi restaurants and people watch on restaurant patios. It is also where Happy Gringo tour company is located and where Gulliver picks people up for its tours. For those who want to ride the hop-on, hop-off bus, the stop is located at the intersection where you turn to head to Plaza Foch.

The hotel itself is very new and sleek. The bathroom has an excellent rainwater shower and jacuzzi tub. Wifi worked great...you just have to make sure you get a different login for each device you plan to use. You do hear the sounds of the nightlife outside, but we didn't find it very bothersome.

There were only two small problems that we found; no coffee maker or tea in the room and an average breakfast buffet with really runny scrambled eggs.
