Best burgers in Quito. Good drinks, good atmosphere, good music. They don't let you choose how well you'd like your meat done but don't let that deter you from going.

I've lived a little outside of Quito for the past year but go into the city often when I want a good meal. When I first discovered Red Burger Society a few months ago I went four times in a span of three weeks. They have delicious American starters like nachos and hot wings, a great selection of burgers with ingredients and toppers that are tough to find in other restaurants, and a solid booze selection. All this is topped off by a cool design for the restaurant. I suggest sitting out on the patio. I've only eaten there for lunch so can't speak for dinner but it was packed most of the times I went with a diverse crowd of young professionals and families. The management and service get equally high marks (something that is usually a rarity in Quito). If you want a delicious burger in Quito, go here.

Hip new burger place in the La Floresta neighboorhood of Quito. I gorged on sticky Asian style chicken wings, a scrummy cheese and bacon burger (great fries!) and finished off with a rich chocolate cake served with dulce de leche (a kind of caramel sauce endemic in South America). We ate mid-afternoon when it was really quiet but I imagine it gets rather lively at night. There were two TV screens, one showing footie and the other tennis. Chill-out music by Café del Mar played on the sound system. I'd like to try the ribs the next time. Not cheap by Quito standards ($50 for two including a tip) but excellent quality.
