“An hour from Quito and the air gets fresh”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

I love this place. The roads getting there are much improved but sufficiently hard to find that you can spend hours without coming across another vehicle. A 4x4 is no longer necessary for the trip around to the 'Rincon del Condor' but is a good idea if you are pushing on the the Northern entrance to Cotopaxi.

“What a HIKE!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013

The Pasachoa Volcano is a terrific hike. It took us 8 hours from base to "peak" and back to the car. We hiked through a cloud-bamboo-forest and Up (I stress the word UP here) to high grassland slopes leading to the top. The "peak" is up for debate as to wether we reached it or not, but we definitely got as high as one can go without slipping off the other side. Bring rain gear, food and lots of water, but if you get the chance to go, then GO! It is a wonderful hike with gorgeous views.

“AMAZING PLACE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

All landscapes in Ecuador are awesome. If you are looking for a natural gettaway, and to be surrounded by nature, but not too far from the city, this is the way to go. Perfect for children, a lot of room to run and play safely. IS REALLY COLD so take a winter coat and FOOD. Of course, there is no stores.

“A close encounter with Mother Nature”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

The Pasochoa is a park nobody will ever forget. You feel the Andes soooo close to you ¡ the air is clean, fresh, ; you can see many different birds, on a clear day you will see the snow caped mountain : the Antisana.
