Typical JW marriot hotel with a good location near nightlife (pink zone) and shopping malls. Very nice executive lounge with a good breakfast and very attent service. The rooms with balcony give you an incredible view in the morning. For me the standard hotel when travelling to quito. Nice resto's, good service and clean. Wifi connection is sometimes unstable... But every time it improves :-)

We stayed here on the way to and back to the Galapagos. It was a nice, clean business hotel with big rooms and bathrooms. They aren't the newest bathrooms but they are nice nonetheless. The several bars and restaurants in the lobby are good - and while agree with other posts are not the cheapest or most traditional Ecuadorian fare, they are a good choice if you don't wish to leave the hotel for dinner. It's only a $4-5 cab ride to old town but be warned that if you get a cab from the hotel to the airport (which are nice cars, but not metered), it will be $50, compared to the $26 it cost from the airport to the hotel.

We stayed here pre and post our voyage to the Galápagos Islands. Upon arriving we are blessed with multiple flower arrangements creatively designed with the flowers of Equador. The foyer is enormous and the rooms are very impressive especially the bathrooms. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and gracious. The restaurant was quite good and the wait staff outstanding . Would recommend this to anyone wanting a great hotel experience.

If you like Marriott hotels, you'll feel at home here. Helpful staff. Good and inexpensive hotel transport. Bar food was only so-so and expensive esp. When compared to local restaurants. Good quality alpaca sweaters in hotel shop.

The JW Marriott is a beautiful hotel located well in Quito. We stayed here twice. Once going in before our Galapagos cruise and then after. The cruise included most nights except for the last of our trip, that we booked and paid for on our own.
We stayed on the executive floor, and the lounge was excellent. We ate at two restaurants and used their pool. All excellent. Internet service was very fast and easy to access.
Our only issue is that the check in/out was slow and their processes somewhat antiquated. They still make impressions of your card, and they offer no express check out- even though it seems like they do (bill under door/card drop box etc.). The new airport is an hour away and at 4:30 am the extra (long) time checking out, really made things tight for us. We had even gone down the night before, and paid for our items to try and speed up the next day, and although we were told we were good that was not true.
With all that said, I would still stay here again, I would just allot more time for every transaction.

Room Tip: Executive lounge 9 and higher.
