We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in June of 2018. We were very happy that we picked this hotel -- it is a beautiful hotel with a sitting room that has a nice view of the hill El Panecillo where the statue of Virgen de Quito overlooks the city. The decoration throughout the hotel is very tasteful and meticulously maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is an atrium, a guest area on the first floor and an indoor courtyard with paintings of Ecuadorian plants and wildlife. It is good to know that they did not convert all usable areas into guest rooms to maximize profit, but instead kept these areas for guests' entertainment and relaxation.
The hotel is in the historical La Ronda area which bursts into life on weekend nights. There are many restaurants which fiercely compete with each other for patronage, and a lot of them have the uniquely Ecuadorian drink Canelazo. I think it is one of the most interesting places in Quito, especially for night life. Surprisingly, although our room was facing the street, it wasn't too noisy at night.
Our overall experience was excellent at this hotel, and if/when we go back to Quito in the future, we might just stay here again.More
