We had such a lovely stay in this hotel! Perfect location in the middle of the old town and very friendly owner...she even gave us little presents when we left! Because we were the first to arrive she gave us a choice of room and we could even change! Also very helpfull in picking nice restaurants etc. Go there!!!!!!

The house:
- great old family house which got converted into 11 room hotel
- the ambiance is unique with the original furniture, chapel, and decoration
- the jacuzzi didn't work which was a pity
- the family who still leaves there is super friendly and helpful
- tour tips and maps they are lacking, there they should enhance there offers
-tip for tours: carpedm very professional!!
- everywhere wifi is a plus

The room:
- our room was big but had no windows and the bathroom no ventilation
- so it was quite wet In the room and dark
- also try not to get the room nr 9, hence it is directly next to the office and if you don't want to get waken at 7 latest due to checking out or in the night from the guards, choose another room

The food:
- breakfast is delicious and enough
- they have a little restaurant under the hotel which is okay but for this price you find better restaurants

Transport:
- don't use the expensive private transport, it is not a problem to take a taxi for 25 dollars from the airport
- just say it is close to san francisco plaza

Location:
- top,top,top
- every museum, church, etc you must see is in 10 min walk distance

They had the most incredible metal art!! It was located off the street so very quaint. The rooms were nice. You did have to buy your own drinking water however. Easy to walk to any of the squares or churches. Great shopping as well.

Room Tip: If you get a room over the outdoor restaurant, you will get smoke from the restaurant/cooking in you...

We started and ended our Ecuadorean adventure at this hotel. It is a lovely historic building, with rooms surrounding a common area. They always had tea and a snack available in the upstairs area. The hotel is run by a family, and Sonia made us feel like we were part of the family. The room rate includes a wonderful breakfast. The location is fabulous and in walking distance to the entire Old Town area. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here two nights either end of a trip to the cloud forest. This historic old building is conveniently located just off San Fransisco Plaza at the heart of the Historic Centre of Quito. The friendly owner and her family are rightly proud of their family home which they have converted to a comfortable hotel with guest rooms decorated in a rustic style and kept very clean.Food at the adjacent restaurant is tasty and reasonably priced.
The only downside of visiting this part of Quito is the traffic. Allow up to two hours to reach the airport at peak times for a journey which only takes 40 minutes late at night when the roads are clear(and the taxi driver thinks he's Ayrton Senna!)

This is a family owned and run hotel in the heart of the Quito Centro Historico. What we really value is the friendly ambiance at the hotel, the numerouse places in the patio and on the 2nd floor for reading and sharing, their colection of books and albums and the welcome of the host. The value for the quality and the location is excellent!

Great, friendly hotel with amazing shared spaces. Owners can't do enough to help you; location is great just off the Pl de San Francisco and the house is spectacular. Also very good restaurant downstairs. Note that not all rooms have external windows (many are towards the internal courtyard. I don't think it matters when there are so many lovely, bright but traditional common rooms to hang out in. though. Exceptional value for money.
