“A very special Trip”
Reviewed April 6, 2012

A very special trip. Went with some friends and spent the most wonderful week of my life on the Galapagos. A credi to the Ecuadorean Government and the Darwin Foundation for keeping the Enchanted Islands pristine and mostly unaffected by human presence. The Pinta Yacht was a great experience. Professional and knowledgeable guides, top staff, wonderful and healthty food, safety observed at every moment.

Highly recommend snorkling if you are able to do it. Champion Island was like being in the middle of the largest aquarium with thousands of fish and sea lions around you.

The Galapagos Islands are a part of Ecuador. A visit to Quito, Papallacta, Otavalo for 3 to 4 days before or after would make it a wonderful trip. A few days in the Amazon River basin that begins on the East side of the Andes in Ecuador would compliment this trip.

Let me know if you need some advice.

“Galapagos - cruise on the yacht La Pinta - memorable for ever”
Reviewed February 18, 2012

This was organised for us by Cox and Kings with Metropolitan Touring acting as the local tour operator. This trip included personal guided tours of Quito and Guayaquil and then 7 days on the yacht La Pinta (40 guests) visiting different islands of the Galapagos with well informed naturalists. The cabins were spacious and comfortable with outside windows, service and food fantastic and safety of passengers featured strongly. The crew were very friendly and approachable as well as well informed.
invest in a good camera and an underwater one as well.
We also stayed 3 additional nights at the Finch Bay Eco Hotel-Puerto Ayora Santa Cruz Galapagos Islands which is owned by the same company. It was all a wonderful experience but La Pinta cruise with its small group island visits was the best

“Great and reliable service”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

We were a little bit worried about the last minute deal to the Galapagos but the Metropolitan Touring service put our worries at ease. The tour company is operated by the local people, so you will have to contact them by phone or email. The outstanding service started from the email correspondence to the hotel pick up and drop off to the yacht arrangement, all extremely satisfactory. Every worker on the La Pinta cruise pampered us, we had a really nice overview of the Galapagos, thanks to the Metropolitan tour. One thing worth noting is that the Yatch is for 48 people, a mid size yacht , but somehow our room in the back had the noise from the anchor from time to time which could be be quite bothersome.
