This hostal in the low budget range was clean and friendly. The owner spent some time in England along with his children and is a fan of London, and it seemed everyone spoke good English.
The hostal is centrally located for all amenities, including a nice public park just around the corner, plenty of cafes with local food and both a KFC and McD within a few minutes walk.
The room we were in smelled of damp but this may not be true of other rooms. The water in the shower was also only lukewarm.
Quito, due to the altitude tends to be quite cold, but we were offered additional blankets if we wanted them (we did). The internet connection was reasonable. A breakfast cafe is opposite.
The website advertises parking included but this is on the forecourt in front and next to the hostal. A security guard is around to watch over the vehicles though.
The website gives latitude and longitude for the hostal location but it was wrong - check address and use a street map (or a taxi).
