Me and my wife stayed there for couple nights, located in the heart of "Quito Colonial".
If you want to know more of the history of Quito you are in the right place... a walking distance from museums, La Ronda, el Panecillo, Presidential Palace, Churches, etc it will keep you entertain for a couple days.. it is safer at night (lots of Police and military presence). And Don't forget to visit El TeleferiQo and the of the World (taxis are really cheap!).. What you will not find it's a really nice place to eat there.. so you might want to go to the Modern Quito or ask the locals for instructions how to get there, or a good restaurant nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for the double room in the 3rd floor!

Booked with BOOKING.COM via TripAdvisor but told no rooms available when I turned up at the hotel reception desk. Had to drag luggage to a nearby hotel owned by the group and told to return to Hotel Boutique Plaza Sucre for breakfast (?!). But with no assurance of a different room rate at the much lower standard alternate hotel ("We will check in the morning"), decided to cut all ties with Hotel Boutique Plaza Sucre.

This is a great little place right in the heart of old town. Within walking distance to most of the great spots, and never felt unsafe (even at night time - although this involved nothing more than getting into or stepping out of a taxi). The breakfast provided was delicious and the staff were more than pleasant considering my grasp of the Spanish language.

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was great. They offer free wifi, 2 complimentary bottles of waters, and free breakfast (bread, cereal, coffee etc and they can also fry eggs for you). The location was really nice as it is just 3-5 minutes away from Plaza Grande. The staff is friendly and nice, and can help arrange for taxi to bus station and airport. They also have 24 hours front desk and can speak English reasonably well.

I only had one night in Quito and was arriving late. The hotel is quiet, spotless and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent (cheese, bread cereal, fresh juice, fresh papaya) and served in a rooftop dining room overlooking the mountains. The hotel is located very close to all of the historical sites.

My friend and I stayed here for a total of 4 nights as we bounced between Quito, Cotopaxi, and the Galapagos. We had three separate rooms for the duration since we were in and out of the hotel.
The rooms were all very nice, and clean. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we could put toilet paper in the toilet! The hotel also supplied 2 complimentary bottles of water, with a water cooler in the lounge area for refills. The lounge also supplied coffee and tea, and free internet access on 2 PCs which was nice.
The location was nice, as it was right in the Old Town, close to some of the main plazas. It's within walking distance to the La Compania church as well as as Plaza Grande. There is also a small supermarket nearby for essentials and snacks.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The only negative was that it could be a bit loud at times, but based on previous experience with staying in South America, I know that this could be said of many hotels. If you have the choice, best to try to stay in a room that does NOT overlook the lobby area, as you may end up hearing people talking at various times of the night. But other than that, this was a great hotel to stay at, and we were very pleased with our stay here.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that doesn't have windows opening into the lobby/lounge area. It can be loud...

The hotel confirmed airport pickup, yet no one came and it was late at night. Upon arrival, Gabriel the night staff gave no answer or appology. It is obvious that they hate their job and the hotel guests. Gabriel advised us not to take a taxi but instead the Trole on a Friday. He grossly missinformed us that the bus station was at the end of the line. First of all the Trole is crowded and dangerous. That day twoTroles crashed, leaving us in a bad part of town, where we were victims to attempted robbery by a gang. They sprayed us with liquid feces and pretended to want to help clean our backpacks and us. We ran and escaped scared to death.
The bus station was not at the end of the line but still miles away by taxi. People like Gabriel should not be working at the hotel and ruining it for visitors.
