“Great service, good food, although trying a bit hard to be fancy.”
Reviewed August 25, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I ate there last night and tried the degustation menu. Food was above average, however it lacked the creativity that we were expecting. Service was great. Enjoyed going into their "wine cellar" to chose our wine. While it is a bit out of the way, the restaurant called a taxi for us and it worked out fine.

“should be rated higher but not in tourist district”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

This restaurant is in a residential area 15 min by taxi from the central area but worth the effort.
The food was wonderfully prepared and the best we had in Quito. The staff made us feel at home
and when it was time to order wine we were lead to the wine cellar to select a bottle. Very reasonable prices as well. Our meal was excellent and used local and handmade ingredients.
I had the tenderloin which was perfectly presented and my wife had a handmade shrimp ravioli
that was great. the slow food tasting menu for 41.00 sounds tempting if we had been hungrier.
The restaurant isn't huge and feels quite modern in decor. Nice spacing between tables.

“One of the best restaurants in Quito”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

One of the best restaurants in Quito, no doubts about it. Although the restaurant is a bit away of everything is located in a beautiful and not discover area of Quito. Food exquisite, service amazing, you pay for what you get, I am pretty sure anyone will love to go to this restaurant and have a great time with friends, beloved one or just for business.

“Go hungry, esp. if you choose the tasting menu”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

Four of us put ourselves in the hands of the chef, choosing the $47 tasting menu. We also opted for the $16 wine pairing. All of us (who suffered from food coma for two days after) agreed that everything was extraordinary. Even the first course...grilled octopus...which my husband normally wouldn't touch, was eaten with relish. We left well sated, and agree we will definitely go back. But first, we will fast....and not order cocktails or eat the yummy bread. By the way, you can make reservations online, they reply promptly.

“Good service, not outstanding food”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

It was easy to make a reservation, for my friends was slightly difficult to get there. The food was very good but not excellent, the place is well decorated and the service was very good also.
