The best thing about this hotel was checking out after just one nights stay and move to a 'real' hotel (and 4*) just a block away that was only $10 a night more expensive.
For me the main problem I had with this hotel was there was no opportunity to sleep because of the noise form the busy street outside, one of Quito's busiest, and the hotel does not appear to have any sound insulation, added to this was the noise form a bar or disco close by that I could hear until around 04:30.
The property is poorly maintained to say the least, the rooms bear no resemblance to those shown on the website, the bed linen does not fit the bed, the bath towels are a joke, there was no hot water, the whirlpool bath did not function, not that I would have used it as the bathroom was filthy etc. etc. etc. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...
There is no elevator so I pity anybody with luggage who is given a room on the higher floors.
The website promised an "American Breakfast" but in reality what you got was some scrambled egg, 1 croissant, a piece of butter, some jam, one cup of coffee and a glass of juice.
I did bring these 'issues' to the attention of the very nice young man on the front desk but sadly the lack of English meant he really didn't understand the problems.
Quito is a fine city and there are many fine hotels just not this one.
