Capilla is located away from the tourist zone. Aside from Guayasamin's art, which is interesting, the location is in a lively neighborhood with beautiful views.

Beautiful art and home to visit. The tour was excellent and guides are very well informed. We got half price tickets because the power was out when we went, but it came on halfway through! We spent a few extra minutes hanging out on the lawn and having a coffee, admiring the spectacular view. It is a very interesting place and I learned quite a bit! Easy to get to via the red line and one cab uphill. Enjoy!

The guided tour of this museum was very interesting. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about all of the artwork, as well as the artist and local history. A must for anyone visiting Quito.

A very impressive art musuem with good views of the city and surrounding mountains. Its far from the rest of the city so make sure you take a taxi or something to get there, you can't really walk there.

We are not great fans of modern art but this was worth the trek as the design and vastness of the capillo and then the work of the artist - pulling at your emotions on the plight of the native south americans was challenging. then you put it all in the context of Guayasamin's life by touring his home - I had never heard of him but became fascinated by him and his love of his country - great views of Quito also
