This is a good hotel, in a quiet area and near restaurants, made exceptional by the staff who could not be more helpful.
The total is nicely appointed with comfortable furniture and a number of cosy areas where you can relax. The room that my wife and I had was comfortable with good furnishings but the room and bathroom were small. Breakfast was good. The service was excellent and the staff are exceptionally helpful. One example; we asked for a restaurant suggestion which was given and they made a reservation for us and, when we were about to set out to walk there, they wanted to walk us there to ensure we didn't get lost! We had a very early collection one morning and they insisted that a breakfast was available to us and we found a full selection waiting for us.

We stayed here for 2 days before our Galapagos trip and 1 day afterwards. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. The hotel is very pretty, rooms are very nice, the gardens are beautiful, and the service is wonderful. Patick helped us make the most of our very limited time in Quito. Casa Aliso is in a very safe section of the city - but only a $5.00 cab ride to the Old Town. Oh yes, and the breakfast is very good. There are several restaurants close by. Love the fire place in the living area. I could move in tomorrow!

Heads up - Quito closes up on Sunday - no alcohol and most restaurants are closed. You can walk to a couple of places on Sunday evening - but not until 8:00 p.m.

Room Tip: I would ask for one of the ground floor rooms that open up onto the private garden in the back.

Exceptional service. Clean rooms. Plentiful hot water. Breakfast was great, though extra. La Floresta is a nice part of town, with a lot of nearby restaurants. The staff were all super friendly and super helpful.

We echo all the great reviews for this small, homey hotel in Quito. Most folks stay here on their way to or from the Galapagos Islands. All hotels, day trips and tour guides were arranged for us through Adventure Life who I can recommend. In addtion to Quito we ended up spending a couple of days in the Highlands which were great- climbing Cotapaxi, walking down in to the Quilatoa Lagoon.

Room Tip: There are only 10 rooms, each with it's own character.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. It is an upscale, large home with quite a few rooms, and several cozy sitting areas spread throughout the property. The first night we were in a smaller room on the lower level and dogs were barking quite a bit all night. We changed to a upstairs larger room and were very happy with this. The beds are comfortable, the rooms very clean, and the breakfasts are wonderful with eggs prepared to order. It is in a quiet residential location with several restaurants nearby, we ate at the one directly next door. The hotel tended to be on the expensive side but it should be considered as a "luxury hotel". The staff is very helpful and friendly, we recommend this property to those looking for a high end "boutique hotel".
