i ordered an simple chicken soup...and it took about 20 mints...the soup was good, but just some pieces of potato and very thin slices of chicken..too overpriced for what it is.
the atmosphere is nice, inspired in parisienses cafes in the 20`s .
plus it took an while to have the bill too!

We went here for lunch and were disappointed. Service was terrible-we had to get our own menu and then go back in to order and then again to get the bill. The food was nice but not amazing and all meals were expensive compared to other places in Quito. I would go there for a drink but not again for food.

Very few words for a very charming and down to earth place, but with the most loving service ever. Food is very american classic style, which I love to start fresh!

We had dinner at El Cafecito on 2 nights while in Quito. It had a great atmosphere with a fireplace, dim lights, & candles on each table. The food was pretty great. The service was so-so, but the staff were all very nice. On both occasions the server forgot at least a few items (the garlic bread we ordered with our pasta, our drinks, etc.) However, I found that service in Quito was lacking everywhere, so this was probably the norm. They have lots of vegetarian options & great happy hour specials.

The couple who runs this old town cafe are as charming as the ambiance and organic hot chocolate and coffee. The cakes are magnificent! Try the Ecuadorian breakfast with bolon de verdes! We had seconds of everything. I wish I had them down the street!!! Even the bathroom sink is adorable!!
