“Fantastic stay ~ as usual!”
Reviewed April 18, 2010

This was our 5th stay at the Travellers Inn. Over the past 3 years, it just keeps getting better. Met some wonderful people there and the Owners family staff always is amazingingly happy and helpful. Each trip we book one of their tours (Cotopaxi / Otavalo / etc ) and we have yet t obe disappointed. It's always good value for money.
The ONLY down-side ~ no decent TV (ie: CNN) in the rooms - but, it is available in the Lounge.!
The airport pick-up & delivery service is a welcome addition. Thank YOU for another wonderful stay. See you next January

We stayed here for a total of 3 nights between our Vilcabamba stay. The management and staff are helpful, professional and accommodating. We took at full day guided trip with Carlos (owner) and his son (Diego). They were knowledgeable, friendly, open and fun. I would recommend highly reserving a room with private bath. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. We also spent a night in a room with a shared bath. The room was small, but worked - we were concerned about sharing a bathroom, but turned out to be a non-issue. It was fine, but I personally prefer paying a little more for a private bathroom. The rooms were simply furnished. They have an area set aside where you can use there computers or plug in your laptop wih free internet. Not the fastest in the world, but worked adequately. The breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit, juice, coffee/tea, eggs and home made breads that were yummy. The place is very clean and I would not hesitate to eat everything they serve. I think the water was good, too, but I'm paranoid about the water, so I stuck with bottled. I have a weak stomach and usually get some kind of stomach issue when traveling, but I did not have any problems in our almost 3 weeks in Ecuador, except for a pesky cold. We were aware that Quito has a reputation for thefts, so we wanted a hotel with good walls and locks. This hotel has several levels of security (locked gate, two locked doors, high rock & cement walls with 3 strands of electric wire on top) and we felt completely safe. They have an airport transportation service available if you reserve in advance. They don't pick up from the airport after 10PM, but you might want to check with them to be sure. I would definitely recommend Travelers Inn.

During preparation of our trip based on the web correspondence with Diego from the Hotel we decide that TravellersInn will be our base for our travelling in Ecuador in Quito. I think this was the best choice we could made. Very helpfull and friendly staff, excellent cleanliness and service. Hotel is in very safe location and close to everything and provides excellent service and housing. Connection with the travel agency PalmaRoja tour is a very handy combination for any travell or exploring the country. If they don't provide requested tour they are always helpfull a can advice on almost anything. We spent 3 weeks with hiking, climbing, Galapagos etc. and were never regretting coming back to this hotel after our trips. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!

The location is great and the staff and room was excellent. They stored our bags for us when we went away for a few days and allowed us to park our rented car inside the gate of the hotel rather than on the street. Very homey excellent breakfast!

My husband and I used this great hostel as a base for our 3 week trip in Ecuador. We stayed there when we first arrived and then returned twicet. It was a really friendly, secure location and Diego and his family were very helpful. We were able to leave luggage with them and also get our washing done! On our final stay we arrived at 10am from an internal flight from Cuenca and our room was ready and Diego even allowed us to have breakfast which we were not charged for. We agree the beds are a touch hard though! we would definetly stay here again as it was unbelievably tidy, friendly and safe.
