Lovely house on the hill. We loved this place - Michelle was so helpful with our transport plans and very welcoming. Previous reviews are critical of the "service" - if they went in expecting a 5 star hotel then perhaps they may be valid - but this is exactly what we wanted - a very comfortable, private, beautifully appointed guesthouse/B & B with soaring high ceilings - with great staff, fabulous breakfasts - and all within walking distance of the Concepcion and Alegre. close enough to be part of the action, but so so quiet at night for peaceful rest. Loved the roof terrace and tranquil garden (definitely ask for garden room). Bathroom is small, but really? How much space do you need for a shower and loo? If you are wanting to luxuriate in an opulent oversize bedroom with spa ensuite, then this is not for you - go to a faceless 5 star hotel instead. We LOVED this place and will return.

Room tip: Ask for garden room

The Voga House was simply wonderful, a very old home in a great safe neighborhood with views of water and city, rooms were updated and very comfortable. the salon had wall paper original ro home as well as flooring, the entire decor was so tasteful, well kept and clean! We found off site parking and never needed a car. The wine on the patio and breakfast were top notch! We wished we could have stayed another night!

The Voga is in a great location in the old part of Valparaíso. The area is quiet, very safe, and there are a number of good restaurants in close proximity.

The hotel is a converted house and is an interesting building. We felt the rooms were fine but could have been better appointed. The bathroom was small, and likewise could have been more elegant. Our biggest issue was the lack of heating. Valparaiso has a cool micro climate and a room had one inadequate radiator that failed to make an impression. The rest of the building appeared to not have any form of radiator heating. This is not a problem in the Summer but in the Winter I would certainly avoid the Voga. There was a very nice garden/terrace available for use by guests. Breakfast was excellent and all of the staff were very helpful.

The Voga was OK but nothing more.

A lovely historic house at the top of Cerro Alegre within easy walking distance to the main attractions, hills and downtown. We found some lovely local restaurants nearby. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was ample and they were flexible with our early start on the day of departure. The garden was lovely and comfortable to sit in on a sunny afternoon.

Unfortunately the house was too musty for me and I had to take antihistamines and an inhaler to cope during our stay. Our bedroom was big but the bathroom was absolutely tiny with nowhere to leave our wash bags. The toiletries provided were very basic and it was difficult to get the shower gel out of the tiny tube provided for 2 people. Our room was very cold even though it was March and the tiny electric heater had limited impact. There was no safe in our room. This is a guesthouse, not a hotel. I would find it hard to recommend staying here because of the issues listed above.

Enjoyed this place a lot. Fantastic views, lovely, stylish and well kept building, nice relaxing terrace, good wine and delightful staff. Breakfast was superb. Wifi wasn’t that strong in my room, but worked well in the more centrally located communal areas.

All in all it was a great place to relax after walking up and down those Valparaisonian hills all day, and I can imagination it being a great place for a romantic get-away too.

Only addition i could hope for (again haha) would be a bath :-).
