My partner and I shared an uncomfortable evening with limited choices, fish only from effluent waters, and meat too tough to finish. One line of wine choice of no reputation. Drinks really ordinary. Thinks twice before getting trapped here.

After reading all the positive and sometimes excellent reviews, my wife and I must have struck one of those nights.
The initial sit down and discussion of the meal and recommendations by Sebastion was unique however waiting almost two hours for our meals was not acceptable particularly as we had consumed a bottle and a half of red wine prior to the meal even arriving. On the positive side the food was excellent.

Found this restaurant while looking through the Lonely Planet and thought we would give it go. Sebastian did ask to look at as he had never seen it before and remarked that he actually serves more wine that it states in the book!

We were the first people in the restaurant but Sebastian, the head chef, made us feel very welcome. He talked to learn about our food likes and dislikes and explained about the idea behind his restaurant.

He then began to explain what fresh produce he had obtained that day and we proceeded to discuss th best ways to serve them based on what foods we liked and what we felt like eating to accompany a fine glass of wine.

For starters, Sebastian created the best cerviche we have had in South America which was accompanined by a dressing in a shot glass. Then we were served fresh fish in 3 completely different ways based on our likes of spice, sweetness and favourite flavours.

It was an altogether fantastic dinning experience and this topped off by a further chat with Sebastian following our meal. He is a truly fascinating guy.

We would highly recommend his restaurant.

We loved Bijoux. Sebastián is a genius and his passion for cooking is contagious. His concept of improvised cuisine is great. As a result: We've had the best fish in years. Try the ones with fruits (kiwi, maracuya) and chickpeas or the fish with nuts. The combination of the spices is incredibly tasty. We loved our first dinner so much, that we wanted to return the next day for lunch. The problem was that we booked a early bus to Santiago. So Sebastian decided to open the Restaurant a half an hour earlier just for us. And again... it was amazing! Thanks a lot!

I can safely say that my girlfriend and I are food lovers, but more importantly we love to see people that enjoy sharing what they love with others. We have never experienced anything like this. I am sure Sebastian has the dishes in his mind already and guides you towards those options, but they are too good to say anything wrong about them. I loved the way that Blas spoke about his friend Sebastian. It showed great faith and love for the concept.

Some reviews say that this was wrong, that was right, this needs to be improved etc etc etc. Like all reviews this is my opinion and others may not share in it others will agree. But to us the simple notion that we could see and feel the love with which this artwork is delivered was enough. Local products, local artists, local stories equals amazing experience.

Buena suerte con todo tu trabajo hermano Sebastian.
