We booked this place over new years which is massive in Valparaiso. Luckily we booked only and got a private room for only $40 (other hostel's were charging $150 plus). Edith is very sweet and helpful explaining how the hostel works and giving you tourist information. She doesn't speak english, but its fun trying to understand each other. Location is amazing, right near Ecuador plaza and little restaurants. Our cab driver had trouble finding the place as its up a unmarked staircase rather than a street. Try agree a price from bus station rather than meter, as our taxi back to bus station was 1/4 of the taxi to the hostel. Hostel itself is small and cute. 3 bathrooms downstairs to share between 3 rooms. The hot water was gas which needed to be lit everytime you needed to use it. Free wifi and internet throughout the building. Best option in Valpo by far!
