Yes, this is my heart attack: default option as always - Carpaccio de Res and Bife Chorizo. Any by the way: the best Pisco Sour I have had ...

Eladio is uninspired and uninspiring. They serve mainly meat - seemed to be of medium quality - a little tough. The atmosphere seems to be high-throughput and just slightly upscale. Nothing really but bad but nothing good either and - not for me.

Eladio has a wonderful, EARNED reputation in Santiago. It is a large restaurant with various seating areas on two floors. The piano player is talented and lends ambience to your meal. I have dined here several times and have never been disappointed. The steaks and side dishes are very good. The staff is efficient and gracious. They have an extensive wine list and the menu should satisfy most all desires. Don't miss this mid-price range restaurant, it will be an enjoyable outing.

You've got to want to find Eladio. Even knowing it's in the building with the "Panaramico", and that it's on the 5th floor, is merely a clue. More about that later.

The locals all know it, and "they" the waiters, all know the locals. It is just that kind of place, and it is a HUGE place. In a way, it's a lot like their Pisco Sours, twice as large as you're paying for, and with a pleasant surprise in every sip.

Eladio seems to thrive on the lunch, and on the Sunday 'Family Dinner' crowds. Why? Professional quality servers, Medium-to-high quality food, an adequate wine list, and plenty of Pisco!

It is the kind of place where you'll be given a table, not a number on the waiting list. The kind of place where you'll go when it's not "Date Night", or where you have to go to impress a new business colleague. It's the local, the place where budget balances with consistency, and it is handy.

Here's how to find it: at Metro "Los Leones" look for the "Black Glass Box" that's about 15 stories tall. You'll know it because the top two floors are different than the rest, and that at the 5th floor there is a patio garden (at Eladio's). The Foyer is to the left of the stairs, has white upholstered comfortable leather chairs and the elevators, go up to the 5th floor. That's Eladio's. Later, you may want to explore the rest of the shops in the building, after you've fortified on a lunch and sip.

If you're staying in Providencia, there are many high priced places to visit. However, when you want to 'go native' get a good meal, or just hangout on the patio for an after lunch chat. . . Eladio's is the place.

Went their for dinner. Had a steak, a large salad, beer and wine. Everything was perfect. The food was tasty, the waiting time was ok, the restaurant is in a nice location and the personell is friendly and professional. For what I ate, the price was very ok. Definitely recommend to go their when you want to have a nice dinner in Santiago.
