You've got to want to find Eladio. Even knowing it's in the building with the "Panaramico", and that it's on the 5th floor, is merely a clue. More about that later.
The locals all know it, and "they" the waiters, all know the locals. It is just that kind of place, and it is a HUGE place. In a way, it's a lot like their Pisco Sours, twice as large as you're paying for, and with a pleasant surprise in every sip.
Eladio seems to thrive on the lunch, and on the Sunday 'Family Dinner' crowds. Why? Professional quality servers, Medium-to-high quality food, an adequate wine list, and plenty of Pisco!
It is the kind of place where you'll be given a table, not a number on the waiting list. The kind of place where you'll go when it's not "Date Night", or where you have to go to impress a new business colleague. It's the local, the place where budget balances with consistency, and it is handy.
Here's how to find it: at Metro "Los Leones" look for the "Black Glass Box" that's about 15 stories tall. You'll know it because the top two floors are different than the rest, and that at the 5th floor there is a patio garden (at Eladio's). The Foyer is to the left of the stairs, has white upholstered comfortable leather chairs and the elevators, go up to the 5th floor. That's Eladio's. Later, you may want to explore the rest of the shops in the building, after you've fortified on a lunch and sip.
If you're staying in Providencia, there are many high priced places to visit. However, when you want to 'go native' get a good meal, or just hangout on the patio for an after lunch chat. . . Eladio's is the place.
