Those who are meat lovers will certainly love this place, especially the Kobe beef. What also made this place a great meal was that when I asked for assistance on which cut of Kobe to get, the most expensive one was not what was suggested. Places that go out of their way to make sure their customers get a delicious meal instead of just trying to pawn off the most expensive version gets a + in my book. Next time I would probably skip the sides as it wasn't anything special but then again we were there for the meat!

Cuerovaca offers the best steaks I have had in Santiago, in a lovely, spacious setting on a small pedestrian mall in Vitacura. The service is ultra-professional. They offer various cuts of meat, and the servers can expertly recommend the right cut for your taste (based on fat contents, cooking temperature, etc.). Go hungry, and be sure to order some of the tasty "guarniciones" (side dishes) such as the sauteed mushrooms and sweet potato mash. Typical of Chilean restaurants, you order everything separately, i.e., meat, sides, salads. Cuerovaca also offers an extensive wine collection. It is pricey, but worth every penny. Be sure to reserve, and be sure to specify smoking or non-smoking.

Everything was good about this restaurant: food, wine and service. You definitely need to book - any night. I ate 'early' (8pm mid-week), but by 9 it was full.
The steak was delicious and cooked just right - juicy and big portions. The waiter offered good advice and the wine was excellent.
This place is towards the top-end of the price list, but it's worth it if you want a 'classy' night out. It's in a small pedestrian area, with several other restaurants, so you can sit and watch the evening crowd wander by while you eat.
The menu selection is good, and the wine list is good. Definitely worth a visit, but you should expect to pay around €100/person for 2 courses, a mid-price bottle of wine, and an apero.

This was my third visit to the Cuerovaca in two years and frankly was not my choice, but I was not paying the bill either. There are a number of better places, but the restaurant does probably rank within the 10 best steakhouses in Santiago. The problems I have are that the waiters are too pretentious. They try to push certain menu items and recommend expensive bottles of wine which is annoying to say the least. The Wayu steak was disappointing, but the Angus was quite good. A note to the management: Service staff needs an attitude adjustment. Bar drinks were very good including excellent Pisco Sours.
