“Excellent value seafood and vegetable grill”
Reviewed January 8, 2013 via mobile

We took a chance on this restaurant opposite our accommodation. The service was good and it had a lovely ambience. The outside tables were particularly pleasant but fill up quickly early in the evening - so get there earlier if you can. The seafood chowder was yummy. The shared seafood and vegetable grill (brought piping hot to the table) was delicious and very good value at under 20,000 Pesos and was more than we could eat. They also had other grills. Recommended.

“Not a good meal and a rude waiter”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

As tourists to Santiago we were disappointed by the extremely arrogant attitude of our waiter and the very variable food at Nolito in Barrio Lastarria, a restaurant which had been recommended to us by our very nice hotel. My steak with blue cheese sauce was good , though the accompaying vegetables were not very nice, and my partner's lamb shanks were watery and tasteless. Further the restaurant charged him $4 for one, that's right, ONE baked potato to go with his lamb shanks. The waiter fogot my coffee then acted like he was doing me a huge favour when it finally arrived. When the bill came it was then that that we were really upset by the performance of the waiter. The last time someone stood at our table and counted out the money in front of us and the whole of the rest of the restaurant was when were at university. Then it got even worse. We'd put down what we thought was a fair tip given the ordinary meal and awful service, whereupon the waiter rudely informed us that the tip was not enough. I have to say I am really over service that comes across as a favour to a restaurant's guests. Nolito people, why don't you walk down the road to Sur Patagonico and treat yourself to a reliably excellent meal and great service. Wish we'd gone back there tonight instead of Nolito.

“Fun & eclectic dining”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

The atmosphere was young and fun with a nice choice of entrees.
Pricing was reasonable and service was very good. I would recommend reservations and ask to sit on the first floor away from the kitchen area.

“We had a 2 great meals here”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

We ate here twice (Thursday night and Saturday night) and surprisingly, Saturday night had less diners. But I would recommend you make reservations since on Thursday night it was pretty crowded.

I particularly enjoyed the fried calamari and the pasta here. 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 dessert with a bottle of wine was approximately $100 USD. We felt it was good quality food and really enjoyed dining here.

“Great place and service, good food”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

The place and service are great, very quick and kind attention. The food is good but not superb, mixed seafood as appetizer is the best option.
