We had an amazing meal here, there were four of us, and we shared two appetizers, one of which was the beef carpaccio. We didn't think we would like it, but we cleared that plate! It was amazing. All of our entrees were great, the wine and champagne was great, the service was wonderful (they didn't rush us, but were also efficient and attentive).

Firstly, the clientele tells you all at first sight- demure, sophisticated mix of young couples, parents dining with grown children, all smiling and speaking in low tones.
Do I sound like a wowser? well I,m not, but the atmosphere of this place is so ameniable, the acoustics so good that it is almost a private experience.
No to mention the waiters, always right there on time when required, no hovering and no obsequiousness and no uppity ways, which are all trends in waiting now.
Then there is the food - we had the seafood charcuterie, unusual choice as there is a lot of food on that BBQ plate, but oh the flavour - magnifico. The veges are placed raw on the bottom, then the BBQ'd seafood on top and all placed over the coals. Superb! We also had dozens of oysters, rare in our Asian base, deserts and all manner of goodies.
We raved bout Pinch of Pancho to our landlord and he produced a pleased but wry smile as he frequents the restaurant himself. Lucky for us, it was next to our apartment in 1372 Avenido Nuevo, Providencia, which was off trip advisor and a great success. So go - Santiago is a great and beautiful city

This is my fourth or fifth visit to “A Pinch of Pancho”. A pleasant atmosphere, a courteous and prompt service and an innovative cooking, with the best ribs in Santiago. The price is moderate and the location is brilliant.

This restaurant used to be one if my family's favourite places to celebrate special ocassions. Our last visit was on 13/06/13 and we found that the food quality has decreased a lot, some ingredients were not fresh at all. They changed the menu and removed some great dishes from it, and left just 4 options of sides (no french fries!!). The prices are now higher than they used to. The dishes we had were not so good. I do not recommend this restaurant.

I had been to a Pinch of Pancho about 10 years ago, and was very impressed. I recently went, and although the food is decent, it doesn't seem too special anymore in a city where good restaurants have been popping up on a regular basis and competition is high. Plusses - near a metro station, reasonable prices, decent food, good service. There are better choices, but you won't be disappointed.
