We visited Cafe Melba for Sunday brunch, based on its good reviews from various sources. Melba is a nicely appointd restaurant with excellent sidewalk seating and generally nice ambiance. Service was average. The food was, hoever, a disappointment. Both of our breakfasts were cold upon arrival, the eggs were runny despite our requests for firmness and fried rather than poached, and the home fries were apparently frozen shortly before cooking. Brunch seems to be a rarity in Santiago--there are relatively few options--but Melba for us at least wasn't worth the bother.
