“Good food (one of the few really healthy places in Santiago)”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

El Huerto is one of the few places in Santiago that do well prepared, organic food. The staff was friendly and efficient and the vegan menu I had was very tasty. The Spanish gazpacho was actually very Spanish (other than many other attempts at gazpacho I've encountered outside Spain over the years). I will certainly go back next time I'm in Santiago.

“Friendly staff, good location, average food”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

The restaurant is between Metro Los Leones and Pedro de Valdivia, about 5 - 8 minutes walking distance. The staff is caring and quick and the location is very nice at night in a small road close to Av. Providencia. Unfortunately, the food is really just average but the menu changes regularly so we might have been unlucky. Although it is a vegetarian restaurant it offers alcoholic beverages and liquor. A nice aspect is the vegan dish on their menu.

“fantastic find in Santiago”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

This is a great vegetarian restaurant.Lovely atmosphere and helpful staff. We had mushrooms and baked tofu to start - the tofu was a little too sweet but otherwise good. For main we had the mexican platter and the vegan stew - both excellent although the stew was quite a small portion.Strongly recommend, not too expensive.

“Understated and Delicious”
Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

This could turn any omnivore to vegetarian, if you could cook this well at home. My husband and I love meat but this restaurant serves beautiful vegetarian food that we went back twice in the four days we were in Santiago, and would have gone again if it hadn't been full the third time we tried. Exceptionally fresh and tasty. Try the herb fusion tea to finish off your meal perfectly.
