I've eaten here many times and find the pizza to be quite good. The pasta is good too. Many salad options also exist. The pizza is thin and only slightly crisp - I'd prefer a little more crispy.
On weekdays they offer a special combo each day with a choice of one specified main (pizza, pasta, or salad), a drink, and coffee/tea and a small dessert at a great price for this part of town.

So close, but yet so far.. from perfection.. it is only 2 blocks from one of the trendiest pizza places in Santiago. That place is almost always full, so Piola takes the ones who don't want to wait in line for 45 or 50 minutes to get a table. This fact could give Piola thechance to set a trend of their own, but it ends up being just a little more than a fast food place..only very slow. Pizzas were good, nothing fancy, the scampi were few and apart on the shrimp pizza ordered. The salad was enormous, with zero appetite appeal, a mountain of arugula with giant tomato wedges.. very little love there. While we waited, they brought bread and a delicious sauce and the staff was friendly. With just a little effort, they could improve a lot..

Having to sit and listen to rap music in an Italian restaurant ruins the experience. We asked the waiter to put on anything but rap and were told that it was preprogrammed and it couldn't be changed. Tiramisu across the street is better in all aspects, we won't be going back again just because of the attitude of the wait staff.

We where recomendet to visit a Pizza place called .... but there was always a a long line and I don't like waiting for my food. So we went and gave Piola a try. The Pizzas are super. I do love Pizzas and amd very fussy that they are the real thing and yes they are. Went back for more. Just watch the wine as it is very warm all the time and I dont like warm red wine. try to get a seat/table outside to enjoy the peolpe passing by. Friendly and good service. The food comes fast.

Small, friendly pizza place. Nothing fancy, fairly cheap and cheerful. Excellent pizza dough, thin, well baked a delight for pizza lovers. Red wine could be served a little cooler ( a problem with many places here, the red wine is kept too close to heat source). Otherwise all good. Will go back again.
