“Great place with character”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

We ate here twice during our stay. The food was delicious - I had yummy chicken kebabs and my husband had a steak and on another occasion gnocchi. The restaurant is divided into two - smoking and non-smoking, and the two are separate - different outside doors, so make sure you pick the one you want.

There is a great atmosphere - low lighting, pictures all over the walls and hits from the 1950s playing all night. The is a private little room area that you can book if you want privacy.

A great bar, and a selection of piscos. Go here!

“Great experience”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

A little strange to be presented with a menu that seemed to have more pages of alcohol than food but once we'd got the hang of it the range of meals was extensive. While we were choosing we were given warm bread, butter and spicy salsa to keep us going. We settled for the chuletila crodero which was a steaming bowl of lamb chops in a minty garlic licuor and one of the numerous range of sandwiches - arrollado - spicy pork. Simple food but of excellent quality, delicious fresh flavours all delivered with a smile from the charming helpful waiters. Along with a bottle of perfect sauvignon blanc it came in at a reasonable price. The restaurant got really busy so it may be worth making a reservation. Conveniently located close to the metro, Teatro Nescafe - oh and an excellent ice cream shop just across the road if you prefer that for dessert. Highly recommended

“Casuela Rocks”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

Casuela is a soup. Everyone has their favorite - this one is watery, with beef, corn, green beans, carrots - seasoned just right. Liguria is located on a quiet street near a metro stop. Go inside enjoy the bar area, checkered tables - go upstairs and check out all the interesting posters and do dads on the walls. Loved coming here on Mondays just for the casuela.

“loud!”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

This is a bit of a Santiago institution. The food is good but nothing to get too excited about. But the atmosphere is fantastic and there's lots to look at on the walls. All in all this a great place to go with friends or family.
