“An excellent option in Santiago”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2010

This hotel was one of the most different I've ever seen. It's a very big building in downtown Santiago, and Inmoba Suites, is not the whole complex. Actually Inmoba Suites are just a few apartments inside this building. In other rooms, there are families living normally...
Weird, but I can surely say that my stay there was one of the most pleasant that I had.
When you check in, you'll receive not only the room keys, but also they'll lend you a pre paid cellphone with no charge! You'll only have to buy the credits and use it as you like. This was very good because I don't like to use International Roaming service in my personal cellphone (the calls are too expensive).
Also, the room, although small, was very charming. There was a complete kitchen with a big fridge, oven, microwave, pans, plates... So, I didn't spent a lot of money eating in those mega-expensive restaurants in Santiago. I bought and cooked my own food which was a lot cheaper. For the breakfast, they serve you two sachets of coffee, tea and a pack of crackers, but I bought in the mini market in front of the hotel, other things that made my breakfast better.
The living room was attached to the Kitchen and was small as well. If you're coming to Santiago, I'm pretty sure that you'll not stay the entire day inside the apartment, so that's why this detail is not a big deal...
Also, in the living room and there was table where you could connect to the broadband internet.
The Bedroom was small as well, but the bed was really big and confortable, very clean too. There was a big LCD tv with cable channels. The bathroom was claustrofobic but very clean and with a good shower.
About the location, the Hotel is near to the metro stations and have easy access to the most important avenues in Santiago. The problem is during the night, if you have difficulties to sleep.... it's just too noisy around the hotel!
About the price, they charge the fair price of a good stay. I really don't get why there are so many hotels in Santiago that charge so expensively!
When I come back to Santiago I'll stay in this hotel again, without any doubt.

I booked this apartment through Expedia.com for US$90 per night. It is located in a private apartment block at Dr Ramon Corvalan 8 near the corner of Avenue O'Higgins, one of Santiago's main street. No decent taxi driver should have trouble finding it, ours certainly did not. It is just that it's a street address and not a hotel.
After providing passport details to the building reception in the foyer, one proceeds to Apartment 1601 where the Inmoba reception is. The staff were friendly. I think that the rooms may vary a bit. We stayed in a Gran double suite which was possibly the smallest apartment that I have ever stayed in but it was clean and comfortable enough. There was no room for our luggage in the bedroom as we were only there for two nights and were not about to unpack, so it had to stay in the living room. There was a full kitchen with fridge, oven and microwave. The remainder of the living room had a two seater couch and a dining table with three chairs. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but convenient with a good shower over the bath tub. It was pleasantly decorated but is due for a paint. There was a tiny balcony, no furniture but great for putting up a line to dry the laundry. There was no real breakfast, just a two sachets of tea and coffee and a tiny packet of crackers. There are a couple of little diners nearby in O'Higgins that are open for breakfast.
What I liked most was the location. It is close to the metro but we didn't bother as it is an easy walk into Centro. It is also just across the river to Bellevista which has a great evening drinking and dining scene. There is a pleasnat strip of gardens nearby for enjoyable walking. I was happy with this choice.

Stayed for a week in a gran suite with kitchen and balcony for US$75 each night and additional 10% discount. The apartment is conveniently located near Plaza Italia, which is only a block from the metro station and half block from the Crown Plaza Hotel, and is withing walking distance to many locations such as Bellavista, Funicular to the Cerro San Cristobal, etc. The downtown area is also easily accessible by taking metro for a few stations or a walk of about 20 minutes. However, as the apartment is located in a residental building without any sign outside, it is hard to locate upon your arrival (even my taxi driver had difficulty spotting out the exact location).

The room is spacious enough to me and I love its kitchen and the balcony. The king size bed in the room is comfortable. The sheets and the washroom are clean, however, the carpet and sofa are old and have stains on them, which obviously need cleaning or replacement. But personally I could still live with them. There seems to be no air-con in the room (not sure if it is only my room), only a heater and a small fan, so it may be a problem in the hot summer. My rooms is not facing the main street so it is not too noisy, but there is noise of garbage car around 11pm, which it could be a distrubance if you are senstive to noice and tend to sleep early.

The staff can only speak a little English but basic conversation (check-in, check out, etc)is ok. Although you may need to be patient to communicate with them if you can understand no Spanish like me, they are actually nice and helpful and provide good recommendation on local restaurants and useful information on sight-seeing.

Bearing in mind that this is not a hotel, and for the good price they offer, i have no complain to the services and quality of the room. I find this apartment a valued choice and is a good alternative to a nearby starred hotel which you need to pay double or triple for a small room.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights based on tripadvisor reviews and found it to be ok. It's a bit tricky to find as the apartments are in a residential block and there is no sign for reception (you have to go to the 16th floor and knock on 1601). Our apartment had grubby paintwork and a filthy old carpet and housekeeping was not the best. The location is good, next to Plaza Italia and within walking distance of many sights and nice restaurants. The kitchen facilities are good as is the shower. With a bit of renovation, it could be great but falls short of the mark for $75 a night at the minute.

I and my hunband stayed in this flat and loved it. It is a modern and confortable place with lot of space and a king-sized bad! It is also clean and well-located! The better surprisily is that the price is good.

I enjoyed my stays here. On both occasions they upgrade me to a better room. The suites are not huge, but the fittings were pretty good.....huge bed, plasma TV, stereo etc. For me pretty much the best Stgo location, good compromise between downtown and uptown, right on the transport network and walkable to Bellavista and Lastarria. No pool or gym or anything and the "breakfast" is below minimums, but all the same, for the level of comfot and the location, I'd say a great deal.
