“Wonderful neighborhood worth visiting!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is an eclectic artsy neighborhood in Santiago. Great cafes, shops, and an overall nice vibe. We enjoyed just wandering around LaStarria and stopping in a few places for a glass of wine and a small plate, and just people watching.

“Wonderful place to have your lunch/dinner”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We were suggested by the hotel staff to visit this place if we are looking for a good place to eat. And we were so thankful that the staff gave this suggestion. The moment you walked inside the street you would be taken back by the fancy yet warm atmosphere constructed by the restaurants and trees. It was so easy to fall in love with this street - if the street is a lady she would be breath-takingly pretty but at the same time extremely friendly. You would probably have a hard time deciding which restaurant to choose as each of them has its own attractive characteristics.

In the heart of the city are these few quite blocks where you can enjoy a lunch or dinner. Many choices.

“Excellent place for overnight in Santiago”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

We stayed overnight at LaStarrie in Santiago between our evening arrival flight from Easter Island and our international departure flight back to USA the following evening . We arrived at 10:15 PM and was told that the restaurant was still open.It suited our hunger needs perfectly. We took a small quiet elevator to our room. The room was very quiet and comfortable. We had a great nights sleep.
The next morning we ate a wonderful leisurely breakfast that was included in the price. You could eat from buffet and /or get made to order. They held our luggage until we returned from all day tour to seaside villages and wineries at 5:30 PM and had a "refresh room " on the first floor with bathroom and showers for early arriving or late departing guests! A really great feature.
PS At another boutique hotel in Santiago we arrived from our international trip at 10 AM and no refresh room or check in until
3PM!

“charming”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Only a couple of streets, but a small neighbourhood with a lot of charm! Special atmosphere, a number of tourists strolling by and looking around at the stalls with books and antiques, a couple of nice restaurants, a charming red church, a mixed style of houses... what more can you wish...
