As most new attractions, restaurants, hotel, *whatever* in chile, you should visit these just after they started operation. After a year or so it's just not the same experience anymore. At MIM, just at any other place here, when something breaks you'll never know when/if it will be fixed, and up and working again. It's a bit hard for me as an European to understand this kind of mindset. The investment must have been huge, but when it comes to keep it in good shape, it seems that there's no money for that, or because of Bad Management or Blindness (I see what others don't see).

Lots of interesting things to do, we need to go again to visit the every place of the Museum. Lots of experiments and things to know. I also had a good time interacting with them.

MIM is one of those interactive kids' museums. Chile is so child-friendly in terms of parks and playgrounds and restaurants but it's great to see a whole museum for the little rugrats (and their entertainment-tapped parents) too.

The two main things I thought worth noting for future trips were: 1) the shoe-free exhibits. Not the number of them but the necessity to have shoes that are easy to take on and off.

2) Most of the exhibits are aimed at older children (3+), or at least taller children (1m+). At 0.75m, my 2 year old toddler could hardly see many of the exhibits on positioned up on tables.

On the plus side, the attendants were all super nice and helpful with the kids.

There are also special exhibits for which you need a special piece of paper from the Information counter at the entrance. I think they're free so I don't know why you need extra permission but I'm putting it down to a Chile-thing. This is what I gleaned from the meet and greet guy in the foyer who rattled off an introduction is such rapid Spanish I only caught a word or two. Two of those exhibits are a 'construction' site and an art and crafts room which looked like a lot of fun for toddlers.

The other highlight was the soccer pitch, where you kick the ball into the goals and a timer measures your speed. Fun for kids and their wannabe Pele Dads too.

Tip: If going on a weekend, arrive early. We got there at 10am Sunday and it was practically empty. When we left 2 hours later, it was fast filling up.
