Just far enough off the main artery in central Santiago to give this very special boutique hotel a wonderful homelike atmosphere. Maria is just like a member of the family, always around with lovely little extra touches. The back terrace and garden are wonderful, either for relaxation or to get a little work done. Unless there is some particular reason to stay at one of the big hotels, I can't imagine a better place to stay in Santiago.

I am not waiting to get home to write this review. I am sitting in the lovely living room of this small boutique hotel (5 rooms) on the afternoon of my departure from Santiago. Feels like I'm sitting in the home of a welcoming good friend. The staff here cannot not do enough to help make your stay the most enjoyable. English is most definitely spoken here. Mimi, Kathy and Clare are from the US and Australia and speak Spanish like natives. Back garden is greatest feature, wonderful place to chill after long day of touring. Breakfast is delicious!

We had two nights at the Carmenere which we found through TA. We had a charming little ground floor room with direct access and a terrace to the lovely designed backyard garden. The whole place is a sanctuary and gave us a homelike, safe and quiet feeling that we enjoyed a lot after exploring the busy and hot streets of STGO only blocks away. The breakfast is absolutely great, in fact the best we had in our three weeks in Southamerica. The quality of the products they use is outstanding and my wife had a loveaffair with the organic orange jam. But the best about the place: the staff and their obvious love for what they do. Thank you so much, it was a great pleasure meeting you guys! If there is anything to improve, depending on the time of the year, an aircon would have been nice instead of the fan - but is no must.

This small boutique hotel is built in a very cute house in the center of Santiago. Service is unbelievably good, don't miss the excellent breakfast and take some time to relax in the garden after a long busy day in Santiago. The hotel is perfectly located at asking distance from Bellavista and Lastarria neighborhoods. Thank you for the 4 amazing days we spent there.

Being a new hotel, with not many reviews I was a bit hesitant in booking but I'm so glad I decided to give them a shot, going off the few great reviews they did already have. I'm sure this place will soon be near the top of the rankings.

The staff is what really made this place. The GM Germán & all his staff were so friendly & helpful. It was our first time in Santiago & they gave us tips on what to see & do, organised a tour for us, organised restaurant, rental car & winery tour bookings for us - everything. Really made to feel special - by far the best service I’ve ever received at a hotel.

The hotel itself was also great. Our room was lovely & spacious, the linen high quality. The outdoor area was great & if we had more time it would have been a lovely spot to relax. We did have our breakfasts out there though, which were great. Made to order free range eggs, all sorts of breads, fresh juices & fruit, dulche de leche crepes, natural yogurt... - really set us up for a day of exploring the wonderful city (& after exploring the 24h snack bar with tea, coffee, fresh juice & assorted pastries/sweets was great!). The neighbourhoods of Bellavista & Lastarria are an easy stroll away, as are San Cristobal & Santa Lucia hills, Pablo Neruda’s home, the metro station & the excellent Peumayen Ancestral Food restaurant. The historical part of the city is also walkable or, if not, a very easy metro ride away. The hotel itself though is on a nice, quiet residential street.

We highly recommend this place & hope to be back soon.

We spent the first week of November at the EcoHotel and from the arrival to the departure everything was perfect. The small hotel has lovely rooms and is spotlessly clean. From the linens, to the breakfast, to the facilities themselves, it was 5-star quality. The staff and owner were most helpful with every small detail, from how to buy a transit pass (Bip card) to interesting local restaurants. Our favourite part was the little backyard, where we could relax before going out to supper. The closest Metro (subway) stop is only a short 5 to 7 minute walk, but it's also only about a 25 minute walk downtown to the main tourist sites. A safe and interesting part of Santiago, and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Indeed, I wouldn't stay any where else in Santiago.

Room Tip: All the rooms are equally lovely.

This is a small boutique hotel with only 4-5 rooms. Very charming, excellent wine cellar and inside patio. What sets this place apart is its commitment to environ environmental sustainability -- at all levels. Very high quality furnishings but at a decent price. Office staff and owner are friendly and outstanding! We will return to this hotel for sure on our next trip to Santiago. It is centrally located in Providencia. Only downside is parking is on the street, but this is a good neighborhood and we did not have a car at this point in our trip (you do not need a car to get around in the city anyway).

Room Tip: All rooms have an excellent view, but the ground floor room with its own patio is charming!
