“It is a unique experience - be open and enjoy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

For people who seek something special - go for it.

Lovely atmosphere, very nice drinks with a good set of special Pisco Sour (the national aperitivo) and great food, the appetizer on the house is already an experience, we then moved on to Goat tongue and horse steak. But there's also a decent set of vegetarian options.

Make sure to book ahead, it's quick and easy over their own homepage.
Would clearly recommend to at least experience once -

“Gastronomic Adventure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013

Reccommended to us by our hotel to dive right into Chilean cuisine. The atmoshere and service are very good and it was interesting to try "ancestral food". The food was fresh and well-presented, but unless you are really interested in Chilean cuisine history, I would opt for one of the other restaurants in the area. Some of teh menu items were less than appealing.

“Exotic deliciousness”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

Amazing ambience and service. The food is delicious and exotic, based on chilean`s tribal traditions with quite a touch of modern gourmet cousine. And the waiter makes sure to explain each ingredient and the tradition behind it. The selection of wines are also amazing, created upon a selection of small chilean vineyards, tiny organic productions that generates really interesting wines. (We drank Starry Night (after the Van Gogh painting), a Syrah produced in only 4 acres, created by an hollandaise astronomer that lives in Chile. Yum)
You gotta be open to new experiences, and not frown upon an entree made with goat`s tongue. :) And it`s quite delicious. My suggestion is to try the degustation menú for entrees. Really interesting. The bread table is itself a trip through chilean tribal culture. Make sure to make a reservation and to spend about U$ 100 - 150 per couple (including entrée, main dish, dessert and wine).

“Very much an experience meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

We took our 3 young kids midweek and the restaurant was almost empty. A concern but we were bolstered by good TripAdvisor recommendations so stayed. Not to worry we had a very interesting meal including lots of extras. It was memorable for the excellent horse dish (Brits don't eat horse much!) and for having many unusual and challenging ones. Not everything wowed but it was an adventure through foods our ancestors would have eaten and really worthwhile as an experience.

It worked well as a one off and if the menu changed I would certainly return. Our kids are foodie adventurers, I wouldn't recommend for most children.

“Great food and concept!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

The place is beautiful, with great food.
I've ordered some dishes, but the one I liked most was a courtesy (I believe, since the bill comes showing only the total). It was a representation of Chile, from North to South in small bites. Really tasty!
I recommend making reservations, I went there by myself on a Friday evening, and had to stay at the chilly patio, because it was all reserved. On the other hand I got to see some action trough the kitchen window!
The concept of ancestral food is really interesting, and I think they translate it to the dishes really well.
I also think the price is really reasonable.
