For a nice walk from the Renaissance Santiago, and to get away from the huge shopping mall, which is must like home, cross over to the parque for a lovely walk.

It worth a while to visit this beautiful park, located near to Manquehue subway station, and near to Parque Arauco mall. There is activities for every taste, basketball courts, skate park, gardens with benches to rest, a beautiful tunnel with flowers that will lead you to the other side of the park, places for dogs, etc. It´s a good place to photograph, or get a good book and forget the time sitting on a bench.

Nice park in the middle of the city, perfect place if you just want to walk and chill.
If you have kids they have a variety of park games or a lot of space just for run.
You can also can find some restaurants over there.

I walk to this park most days with my dog and enjoy both its peace and vibrancy. The municipality have worked hard to create a place to be enjoyed by everyone. Lots of sporting activities are available including volley and basket ball, ice skating in the winter plus skateboarding etc. Younger children are entertained with large well laid out play areas too. There is a commercial hub with various eateries etc.

During the summer months numerous outdoor cultural events are organized in plus regular exercise classes.

It is well worth crossing the jasmine bridge to the tranquility of John Paul II park which is much more peaceful with numerous places to sit and ponder. Do visit the impressive 6 metre statue of the Pope which is unusual with its living green robes.

Walking around the two parks will take an hour and a perfect spot to relax after the rigors of some retail therapy at the adjoining Parque Arauco.
