Walked in with no idea what restaurant this was but was pleasantly surprised. Didn't look anything like a restaurant up front but the dining area is at the back and nicely decorated. If it gets too sunny, the restaurant can mechanically close off the glass roof with blinds. Was not too impressed with the service as it took them more than 20 mins to get a glass of wine which was already sitting at the service area bartop.

This is my go to for spices, cheese, condiments and other gourmet delicacies. It's also a favourite for lunch, dinner and brunch. Reservations are a must it is so popular! I can't list everything I enjoy off the menu, it's just about all good. Ice cream is a treat too!

Loved this place. It's downstairs, on the side and in the basement of the W Hotel (but accessed from outside). It's like a gourmet deli with lots of nicely-set up food stalls with great quality food and the tables are arranged all around the place. If you like the meal, you can buy the ingredients and make it at home. You choose your wine from the store, pay store prices and then add a small corkage fee to drink it with your food. They prepare daily specials. Mine were chestnut and pumpkin gnocchi with a light tomato sauce and a 3 ceviche sampler. Everything was delicious and the service super friendly. It has a nice outdoor terrace with heaters.

2:30pm we walked past the front terrace with no empty tables. No reservation, we walked to the back seating area and were greeted and seated right away. Waiters were friendly and courteous. The room was full of stylish and well dressed clients. Lots of natural light, modern decoration with lots of plants around the edge and a tree as the center piece.
The menu gets your mouth watering with many original dishes. A number of people were ordering eggs Benedict as a starter - looked great. I ordered the pork tenderloin trilogy with asparagus (amazing) and my mother the seared tuna. Creative mixture of ingredients, full of flavor - clean plate. Lots of deserts to choose from, but the chocolate volcano with coffee ice cream was probably the best desert ever....
Conclusion. A simple lunch became a really enjoyable dinning experience on multiple levels. The variety of the menu creates a desire for multiple visits. The service was of a very high standard. Attention to detail in the decoration (Bang and Olufsen speakers in the ceiling). My one discomfort was a feeling of being watched, by four visible security cameras.....
Highly recommended.

There are two Coquinarias in upper part of santiago. One on the side of the W hotel. excellent, good location and has inside and outside tables all year round. Yo can always buy some gourmet stuff (as a present or for cooking) and the neighborhood is a good way of looking at snobish santiago.
BUT THE SECOND and new Coquinara, in alonso de cordova (vitacura) is not up to it yet. In summer VERY hot, way way TOO many people (and some chilenas specially are very loud and have a high voice tone). The neighborhood here is much more fun,has a avriety of shops and you can always lie on the parque bicentenario park...but again...the experience is not as good. Hope they improve and diminsh number of tables and put air conditioner. It took long for luch to arrive and wasn´t as good or well presented. service a plus.
