Lovely colonial building converted into spacious rooms. Corridors are big and airy, balcony on the 2nd floor.
We had a private room - new decor, comfy bed with proper cotton sheets, good shower.

Big modern kitchen, fast wifi, small garden for smokers
Breakfast was good (yoghurt, fresh bread, cheese, ham, jams etc)
All day supply of coffee
Best of all were the staff - so friendly & helpful.
In 7 months of travelling SA this is the best hostel we've stayed in

Hi, I spent 4 nights in a Single Room at Nomades. The Place has a really nice Modern Flare, and the Staff is very accommodating. Really felt at home while meeting people from different cultures and Countries. The patio is a great area to relax ,check your email or have a drink. The Shared Bathroom and the Whole House is spotless. Very close to the Metro Stations. I Would recommend to anyone..

We stayed here last year, on our first night after an extremely long flight from Singapore. We were greeted by the manager upon our arrival.
The place is great, the rooms are clean and cozy, and the wood sculptures are amazing. Breakfast is very nice, and so is the small terrace.

Would definitely reccomend this hostel to all my friends.

Nomades hostel is very clean and sunny with an inviting feel. Good common areas and the staff were helpful, although sometimes it was a little tricky as they did not speak a lot of English. Breakfast was good. Showers were clean and warm. Would stay here again. Thanks to Nicole!

Been here for 3 nights when staying in Santiago. It is extremely close to the cozy Bellavista district and they are always waiting to open the door for you, even at 4am at night. The owner Rodrigo is a very nice and friendly guy, some of their staff are less active. All in all a great place to stay which I would highly recommend.

Arrived to Santiago late with a friend and our other hotel had fallen through (mostly our own faults for not confirming the reservation). So we went on booking.com and made a booking at Nomades. When we arrived, we were greeted by locked doors, where we waited for quite some time for someone to open them ... and then we were met by a rather blank stare when we explained we had a reservation from Booking.com. From there the girl at the front desk told us there were no rooms left, and then went into the room on the other side of the hall where she had a lengthy conversation about room availability. Then she came back and looked through the computer for a while. Then she went back and had another conversation on the phone. All the while, we were freezing, weary from our travels and hoping to find a nice comfy, warm room. Finally, she came back and explained there was something available. Then, she said, we'd have to have a cup of coffee while someone cleaned the room, because it wasn't ready. All in all, we waited well over an hour and a half for our room - since it was after 11PM we were very disappointed. Then, we finally got to the room. It was nice enough and the bed was not UNcomfortable, but the young woman explained to us that if we wanted hot water, we'd have to turn on the tap and wait for a while. A while? It was a LONG while. And there was no shampoo, soap or any amenities of any kind to speak of. Finally, we decided to watch some TV and call get in bed and the room was just SO SO SO cold. So after an hour MORE of that, we decided we'd had enough, called and woke up a friend and went and slept on her floor ... at least it was warm! When we left, the girl was sleeping on the couch in the other room and she asked if we were coming back and we said, "no". She simply said, "OK ... good night".

Then, weeks later, I find a nasty facebook message suggesting that I owe $70 for the room, saying that the hotel doesn't want to have to call the police. Are they kidding?! Why would they call the police? My credit card HAS been charged ... and shouldn't have even had to pay in the first place because the room was so terrible. To top it off, now they want to be paid again?! Excuse me, but if there was a problem with payment then, 1) Why did the girl not say something as she knew we were leaving and not coming back and 2) Why has my credit card been charged?! OUTRAGEOUS! And suggesting they're going to call the cops? They didn't even e-mail or call ... they sent a FACEBOOK message (which, if you know facebook well, you know messages from people who aren't your friends often disappear into the "other" inbox and don't even show up as a message ... http://www.techhive.com/article/2032219/the-other-facebook-inbox-you-didnt-know-you-had.html).

At any rate, all in all, this was a nightmare of an experience, and it appears that the bad service is ongoing. Yuck! Latin American hotels have NOT been great for us. See my review of the TERRIBLE Pop Hotel in Buenos Aires and the "Cascada de las Animas" in Maipu ... three really, really bad experiences.

Just look our guests reviews. This review seems unless dishonest coming from someone who didn`t pay the bill. Booking doesn´t charge any money for reservations and the credit card number is only use by hotels not for hostels. So I would be glad to have a copy of the voucher that you mentioned.

this place is in prime location and the staff cant do enough to help you. Cheap reliable internet and good shops around. Rooms basic and showers a bit erratic but good for stay in Santiago.
The city looks more like a business center with a very good transportation system
