An excellent experience where you can taste a wide variety of Chilean wines whilst enjoying tapas style entres and a good choice of main meals. Young enthusiastic staff will comment on the many wines available and if you choose the tasting "flights" each glass has a tag attached to the base which identifies the wine, the grape variety, year of vintage and district grown.

Good service is hard to come by in South America and after living here for over 3 years, I have to say my standards have definitely lowered. I was so pleasantly surprised to find the service at Bocanariz up to my North American standards with the waiters asking if we needed anything 2-3 times during our visit, unprompted. The wine selection is incredible, and the glass comes with a tag that has the name written on it, making it easy to stick the note in your purse and find the wine later if you loved it. Bocanariz has definitely jumped to the top of my list of places to recommend in Santiago.

The place is located in one of the most 'latin' looking neighbourood of Santiago, Lastarrias. The restaurant has different rooms, possibility to sit to a table or on confortable small sofas. The menu is good, various and particular. The 'special menu' is great: taste of combined entries, first plates and dessert with amazing chilean wines. Food is well prepared, decorated and very tasty. Price is fair.
The place may be enhanced somehow, and it is not possible to reserve, service may be slow

great spot in Santiago

This is a must go place whilst in Santiago, the food is amazing and there is a HUGE selection of wines. We were lucky enough to be staying close to Bocanariz and poped in a few times to enjoy some delicious food and great wine.
They do have lunch time set menus which are great value, and if you intend to go at night it would be better to book in advance as it gets very busy.
Make yourself a favour, visit this place!
