Not a nice experience staying at this hotel but its location only. Room: had dirty floor by check in time, no face towel, no sufficient soap for a couple, no shower soap. Bar: Could not have a wine during Dec31 night because staff refused to clean more cups, only fast food available, poor service. Check out time: Bill was charging breakfast (however it was included already on daily price), It seems it has not been segmented according to Ibis brand proposal.

Room Tip: Rooms on lower floors are better due to earthquakes possibility and elevators congestion

This hotel is located in a good part of Santiago. It represents good value for money, is clean, modern and has all the expected facilities except a refrigerator in the room. The free internet was fast and worked well. Service at the front desk was helpful but sometimes slow, depending on the number of people in the queue. Most of the staff on Reception spoke English.
I stayed in two different rooms on two separate occasions within a week. The first room was on the 10th floor, and was quiet. The second room, on the same side of the hotel, was on the 7th floor, and was rather noisy - it seemed that the window seals in this room were defective and allowed substantial noise from Santiago's very noisy buses to penetrate the window.

Room Tip: Check room noise first.

Nice hotel in nice location in the west end of the Providencia neighborhood. I was there for a week and I’d be happy to return.
As with all Ibis Hotels, the room amenities are few but the beds are comfy, the towels fluffy, the property is well maintained and the price is right.
I was in Room 1413. Odd numbered rooms have an open view to the region. (Even-numbered rooms are on the street side.)
Most significant comment about the hotel/room is that the shower head is in ceiling but no shower cap is provided. It is impossible to take a shower without getting your head wet (but I always pack a shower cap).
Wifi strong.
TV has about 80 channels. The only news in English is BBC (CNN has a Chilean-specific channel). But among the many channels there always seems to be a few in English. Warner Bros. Studios has a dedicated channel that shows many fairly current shows.
Breakfast included scrambled eggs fairly well cooked. The rest was a small assortment of breads, cereal, cheese, meats, fruit. And Oreo cookies. Everyone here seems to eat ice cream for dinner so maybe cookies go with breakfast.
Manuel Montt Metro stop one block away. Also in next block is a small grocery store. (Go out the hotel front door, turn right. At the end of the block turn right. It is across the street.)
Big ice cream shop across from Manuel Montt station. Lots of quick service and table service restraurants in the same area (to the right of the hotel door).
I took the TransVIP shuttle from the airport for about $13US. Be sure to have hotel street address . The shuttle driver did not know the hotel. The helpful front desk staff reserved the same shuttle for the return to the airport.
The locals that I talked to kept comparing Santiago to Manhattan. Not even close. It is very much Southern California. I am pretty sure the Parque Arauco shopping center is identical to one in Orange County.
For general shopping entertainment, however, I recommend the main train station. It really is meant for the locals.
If you need to replace your missing suitcase (not my problem but I talked to someone whose luggage was taken in what was a case of mistaken identity – the suitcase left at baggage claim looked like hers but it was not hers) then go to the Constanera Center. It has every store imaginable including the South American hypermarket Jumbo.
For museum goers I suggest the Ralli Museum; see the TA info.

We stayed here for about a week, and were mostly happy with this.

The room was always very clean ( Kudos to Housekeeping staff! ) and so were the public areas around the hotel.

The location also made it handy to getting to local attractions, as well as being very close to
cafes, bars, pharmacy etc, as some of these were just minutes walk away.

The only thing I would maybe mention, and this is just a foreign tourist being selfish, but being part of the huge international ACCOR chain, I think maybe one or two more of their frontline staff should have higher levels of English. I know this sounds really horrible because it's Chile, but a couple of times we went to reception for quite simple questions, and either could not get a response, or had to wait a long time until the staff member who could speak English was available to come over. But that was a very minor issue!!

I loved the room, the wifi was great, and the food selection at breakfast was pretty great as well. The good location of the property, made things a lot easier for us. Staff were good, and I thought drinks were reasonably priced. If I ever return to Santiago, I will of course return to this hotel!

I stayed here during my business trip in November and I loved it! It was exactly what I was looking for: the position is perfect both for moving by taxi and using the metro, as it is a few minutes' walk from Manuel Montt on the red line, with access to most parts of the city. The hotel is new and the rooms are comfortable and with an amazing view on the whole city if you are on one of the high floors as I was.

The restaurant is cheap and serves a wide variety of food for both breakfast and dinner, with both european and latin american cuisine. The staff was lovely and helpful and everyone spoke English perfectly. I was also very happy with the WiFi as I was able to connect with both Blackberry and laptop at the same time, and it was all included in the cost of the room.

The only comment I would make is that there wasn't any minibar, and it would have been nice, but I was able to buy water and other drinks from the bar and bring them upstairs so in the end it was not a problem.

I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Santiago!

Room Tip: Choose a room on one of the last floors for an amazing view of Santiago!
