“Clean, Tidy, Sufficient”

On a recent business trip to Santiago I was lodged at the Ibis Providencia. Very strategically located, in a nice neighborhood with many dining restaurants within short cab distance. Like any IBIS (anywhere in the world) what the hotel lacks in charm or you could say soul, it makes up for in cleanliness and affordability.

Hola. We stayed here for a night, had to book a couple of nights as we were getting in at 2am. They donʻt offer airport pick up, which would have been an added bonus, but was about 15,000 Peso for a taxia and the driver was super friendly. The room was ready and they were expecting us, modern and clean, good environmental messages about water conservation, nice amenities. Its close to everywhere like the tube and sites in the city but we slept all day. Free breakfast but we slept thought (ha). No complaints and they booked us a taxi to the airport for the same price and the driver spoke no english but was speedy fast, which made it a fun drive to the airport. Would definitely stay there again...and there is a sweet pizza place just down the road :)

It has a near subway station and it is near downtown. I got a great discount in the site for Carnival period. The breakfast is normal, there isn't anything special. The hotel was full of Brazilians. Santiago is a great location because you can do lot of tours but can stay based on the city.

Room Tip: Go to ibis official site to look for discounts.

Just spent three nights here on business. Third trip to Santiago and happy to have finally found a hotel I'd really like to return to. I've previously stayed in apartment places which are so popular in Santiago and found them OK, but travelling alone I actually missed the bustle of a hotel lobby/dining area, so decided to give the Ibis a try. I'm glad I did. The rooms aren't large but are big enough and functionally laid out with enough room to hang clothes and work. Bed was very comfortable and huge. The only thing I would really want is a fridge in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful, they had a good level of English ability, which helped because my Spanish is terrible. Breakfast was very good value, not a big selection but it was plenty for me especially for the price, with fresh fruit and decent coffee a nice touch. The surrounding area is great, with a supermarket, 24-hour gym (with daily rates for non-members), subway station and plenty of restaurants all within easy walking distance. I enjoyed the pizza at Voraz, and a very nice steak at D'Musik, which seems to be a family run place, very friendly service. I would highly recommend this hotel and will happily return.
