Go on Sunday to get in free. Check out the homeless people who have used the entrance stairway as a home - there's ingenuity! Once inside, the interior of the building is almost as good as the exhibitions. An enormous open space atrium surrounded by a balcony above gives a wonderful atmosphere to the range of statues exhibited on the ground floor. The other individual exhibition rooms housed art that was a bit modern for our taste and somehow you got the feeling that they needed to fill the place with more choices - it all felt a bit empty and lacking atmosphere. You would think that there would be a connecting door to the adjoining museum - no you have to exit and walk round.
