“Beautiful”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

Very common yet exquiste beauty. The ceiling as in a number of churches is to be admired. It is always amazing to me the artistry and architecture which went into the design and building of these magnificant buildings.

“A real atmospheric Church experience”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

We attended a twelve o clock service which lasted 30 minutes and it helped us to take in the history of this wonderful church in the heart of the city. It was really moving and one felt uplifted when walking out into the sunshine. Well worth a visit

“Nice place for an afternoon”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

There is a pretty big collection on religious items, very well captioned in both Spanish and English! Also a large series of south american painting depicting the life of Saint Francis. Bonus option- take a rest in the courtyard garden with 2 lovely and very active peacocks.

“American art.”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

One of the remaining examples of colonial Chile. The church is delightful and the museum attached is well worth the small admission fee. It has a great collection of American artists' work from the 16th century onwards.

“The BEST Christmas in 75 years!”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

We were blessed to find this treasure and celebrate "Navidad" on Christmas Eve this year. The Indian dancers, drums, cymbols, horns paraded in before Mass, and out afterwards.
At the Gloria, the statue of the Christ Child was carried from the enterance on raised arms to the creche, while the people sang the Gloria in Excelsis Deo from "Angels We Have Heard on High."
After Mass, people lined up to kiss the Babe's feet!
We stumbled on this beautiful place, just 2 blocks from our hotel. What a Christmas Gift!
