Well-paced individually-controlled audio guide tours in English and other languages a must to help you through this house. A little expensive at Cl. 7000 ( $USD 10) but enjoyable. The tour can be completed in about 45 minutes.

It’s good to appreciate the life and work of Pablo Neruda in his quirky Santiago home full of memorabilia and with a very good audio guide. On a weekday morning it wasn’t busy, so the relaxed atmosphere could be appreciated. Go soon as big buildings are going up nearby and the position of the Casa overlooking the city will be lost.
Neruda had such an eclectic taste that one doesn't know where to look in this jam-packed home that was built higgeldy piggly into the hillside. The audio guides are very helpful.
The Santiago home of Pablo Neruda is worth visit. Luckily, they monitor the number of people who visit at any one time, so don't be put off by a small wait time. The house is very eclectic and great fun. However, if one has trouble with stairs, better give this a pass.
You walk through the house of Mathilde and get an audio explanation. It gives an impression how Nerud lived.
Very close to the hill of San Cristobal, Nerudà s house in Santiago is very small but very interesting and beautiful in its own way!! It is a bit of a shame that there are buildings al' around which spoils the view of the Andes! Definetly worth a visit!
