Please do not go there expecting to figure out who Neruda was and then write idiotic remarks like one can find these objects in junk stores of Australian cities. If you know and love Neruda then you would simply love this place. Unlike La Sebastiana where staff are incompetent, in La Chascona staff are well versed and respectful. For us the Neruda fans it was like a pilgrimage. I only wish there were more explanations of many more objects you see but do not know the stories behind these. However, to be able to walk on the same ground where this great talent lived and worked with his love was a dream come true. Entrance price was well worth it. Go in early morning like just around 9 AM when they open before the mob tourists have their toast and coffee and descend on it like flies.

This is a must in Satiago for all Pablo Neruda/poetry lovers. It is a funny and interesting tour that allows to get a glimpse of the eccentric life of the Nobel-prize author. One of the highlights in Santiago city tours. I Highly recommend it.

If you've ever visited one of the Frank Lloyd Wright homes in the U.S. (e.g. Taliesin West), you'll be at home at La Chascona, the home that Chile's Nobel-winning poet, Pablo Neruda, built for his mistress in the 1950s. His personality -- and hers -- exudes from every room. Located at the base of Cerra San Cristobal in the Bellavista neighborhood.

If you are in Santiago you can't miss this place: here you can retrace the life of the great Pablo Neruda from childhood, know more about his political fight but mostly enjoy this unbelievable artwork, wonderful inside and outside with great masterpiece from many important artists from '900. The ticket cost 6.000 pesos

Located in the Bellavista neighborhood. Interesting art work... the architecture of the home is fascinating. It was fun to learn about the life, the poetry and lifestyle of Pablo Neruda.
